Firstly,  let me say that I'm thrilled to the core that you described me as creative.  Actually, I'm really not, except I just have the slightest hint of it in order to recognize creativity in others.  I've had to compensate for my lack of creativity with exhaustive research, discovery, and collaboration skills.  Basically, I just find the most creative stuff I can and then mix and match and put it into a digestible format for me to use.  Believe me, I wish I had half of your creativity, Marv.  It'd be half more than I already possess.

As for the RP section,  I would LOVE to join a game with you guys.  I must confess I'm a little intimidated, though.  I viewed several threads in the RP section and I was totally lost.  The best I can deduce is that various team members, including the DM use some sort of out-of-band communication technique to relay events or developments in the main thread.  The farther I read on, the more lost I became.  I think if I tried to step into one of these campaigns,  I'd be "that guy"... the wet blanket that ganks the momentum of the story and everyone has to stop and explain the rules and whatnot.

I Will say this, though, that Loot dungeon you're running looks to be a lot more sequential and easier for me to follow.

Then again, I think a more appropriate course of action, on retrospect, would be to assess the Butterfly Effect before taking such action.

Ya know, sad as it is to say, Hitler has yet to be (permanently) retroactively assassinated by a time traveler, for a reason.

I think the traceability of our RPs is really our fault.

Sometimes, we get so excited with the idea itself, that its execution gets muddled as we execute gameplay. I know that has happened at least at one point in, Lords of Creation, Kethencian College of Magic and the first incarnation of The Evolutionist's Stone.

Well noted.  Did you ever follow the BBC SciFi/sitcom, Red Dwarf?  There was an episode where they tinkered with the JFK assassination and the world went to poo.

It was funny.  (SPOILER ALERT) JFK ended up being his own, supplementary assassin - the missing person from the grassy knoll.

Today's OPM journal entry - today's selection - weather control.  I'm gonna go totally selfish today and teach this frickin' Texas weather that we ain't in the Antarctica!  Stop with the sub-freezing temperatures, already!  My thin Texas blood can't handle this for much longer!!!

No, I have not seen that series, though it's definitely on my radar now.

That's understandable, our RPs can appear haphazard sometimes to the outside viewer. But once you're in the loop, its not quite so daunting...I assume. I'm sure you'd be a valuable addition to any RP you might choose to join.

Of course being the GM I'm more inclined to push you towards joining Loot: The Eternity Dungeon

And I think he might enjoy Card Game, when I get it back up and running.

Google weather says Florida is bouncing around between 60 and 80 degrees this week. Not sure how accurate that is, but its certainly much warmer than the 30 to 40 Texas is getting. I mean it was 27 degrees today!

I'm up for anything that might accommodate a rookie.  Is there a thread in the RP or Games section I can preview?

The Card Game RP's planning and comments thread is here: http://superpower-list-forum.2863604.n2.nabble.com/Card-Game-RP-td6514014.html

It's in the forum's Roleplay section for future reference.

I certainly don't want to encroach on a game already in progress.  I must say, though, I thoroughly enjoyed your intro and the players' responses.

If I have general RP questions about game mechanics, where would be the best place I could post them?  I think I've contaminated this thread enough with my newbie questions.

Loot's planning thread can be found here: http://superpower-list-forum.2863604.n2.nabble.com/Loot-The-Eternity-Dungeon-Planning-Thread-td7612199.html

The RP has barely begun, it'd be very easy to include you if you decide to join. I've done it before with other RPs I've run and in others I've participated in

 Fortunately, no.

It's warming up, happy to say.

A couple days ago, though, it was cold and rainy. Not fun.

This is why you should let me manage the climate systems.

I think he has to warm up first, before he gets around to just jumping in to NB.
