It's super easy to jump into NB.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

Especially since we just started a new arc...and a party. If ever there were a time...it'd be now.

Yes, actually, you're right about that.

Cool.  I'm sold.  Although I'm still a little fuzzy on mechanics, such as what are my stats?  What constitutes a hit?  How many hit points do i have?  How do i aim for a silly-slime's moustache?

What do I need to do to join?

Oh, silly Smackgiver. You think we're actually adhering to a coherent and stable system...

Actually, in all honesty, we really should. We just never could seem to stick to outright rules for very long...

I'm good to go there in spirit.... but as I said before,  I don't want my n00bitude to rain on your parade. I'd have to get familiar with the whole NB theme.  For instance - do y'all need a telekinetic in your ranks?  If not, im certainly flexible to fill an obvious gap.

There's very little we need, but that's fortunate, no matter how paradoxical that may sound.

We're reality benders, but as of recently, things have been coming up to affect that status.

Right now, though? We hax teh univers.

My proclivities lie in, mainly, the D&D monk-type character.  You know, the stereotypical martial artist, seeker of self-perfection ascetic, with just a hint of Eastern philosophy.  No weapons, other than the chi-infused hand/foot/knee/elbow/head for weapons.  If chi use is a bit too advanced, I could rely on iron sandals and cesti (or cestuses, I forget the proper plural expression).

I've also dabbled in thieves/rogues and the occasional cleric. Feel free to suggwst alternatives.

That being the  case, then, (strictly speaking for the NB realm) I dig all things psionic.  Telekinetics, telepathy, things along the lines of Nate Grey or Cable from Marvel.  If you think that might fit your agenda, I'm happy to dive in, eyes closed.

If not, I'm certainly open to anything you guys might find useful.

NB is basically: You have godlike power and you use it to throw tea parties on the moon and occasionally to play fight with everyone.

You may take what motif you desire.

We have elementals, mages, warriors...and I myself am something of a...hm...not a paladin...more like an Avatar-ish bridge between humanity and the supernatural. Friend to various deities, spirits, supernatural creatures and races, and superhumans.

As the Penultimate, I'm a reality bender, and so are the rest of us, in our own ways. Zale is something of a Sorcerer Supreme, Philote is a master manipulator of the particles by the same name. Marv is a mystic elemental connected deeply to the element of earth. Dryad is a Sorceress Supreme, but her powers tend toward warrior-like purposes. Bug was an avatar of imagination itself. And Jester and Narrator are fellow reality benders, allies to higher powers like myself, while Myself has similar power uses, but a more neutral alignment to just help us (not any particular entity or cause).

If you need to set aside any particular powers, for the sake of posterity, feel free to go with the ones you have on your Superpower List profile.

Hoo-boy!!  OK.  I think I might just bake my little noodle on this one, but here goes... perhaps a personified node of the Uni-Mind or a Disciple of the Void (from the Eastern Zen mindset, not space)

Here's hoping I don't make a fool of myself....

That would be surprisingly tough to do within New Beginning, trust me.
