Well I don't know the name of the formation you had the cities in all I know is that you drew a star and I can't really explain that.

Aaah, by formation I thought you meant the way in which the cities formed in history. How they started as villages and grew to become cities. However the positions I can explain easily.

Ok, well the cities are in a pentagram with the Golden City at the northern point of the star. Then, at North 72° East is the city representing Water, at South 36° East is the city representing Wood, at South 36° West is the city representing Fire, and at North 72° West is the City representing Earth. The cities are in this formation because the pentagram both amplifies magic and is an extremely potent symbol of protection. Understand?

A very strong defense it seems. In fact you may say it is Impenetrable by normal means. Which begs the question. What defenses do the Tech and Neutral sides have?

Drones and robots seem an ill defense in comparison to a near impenetrable pentagram of protection.

I expect magic! has the advantage- after all, with enough magic the laws of the universe end up in a corner weeping.

I suspect you're right,  I've been trying to get a better picture of each side's assets to better judge the balance.

Tech's basic defenses are their robots that guard the cities. With anything in certain proximity is detected they will know about it. Also since the robots are closer to the city that means they can and have the means to repair each other on the battlefield. So imagine having an enemy that just won't die. Course cutting the signal controlling them will render them useless. If any of the cities are driven to an extreme they will use the destructive experimental weapons until they know the city is safe.

For neutral there defenses are kinda weak because they have few resources to even use. So maintaining a constant defense is an issue they are trying to over come. So far they have key members keeping eye on who is allowed in or out of the city. Though the single fact that four of the most wanted people between the two sides are sharing one city usually keeps an army away from there.
