Fantasy RP (In The Trees Do They Lurk..)

Logan looked up. Someone calling him? and in such a friendly manner? It took him a moment to realize he wasn't imagining it. It had been awhile since anyone had been friendly to him. He barely managed to make a coherent repose.

"Who me?"

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Why, yes, in fact, I was." Phasma pets Casper slowly as she acknowledges the half-elf, "I'd hate to impose, but you seem a bit in need of company and perhaps a good drink. Forgive me if I was mistaken in my assumption, but I was just about to order a few rounds for what I hope will be new friends, and I was hoping that you might be among them."

"I...uh...a drink...yes, I would....like one that is....a drink." Logan stammered in the most articulate manner he could manage. He was still baffled by the mere fact that this lady was speaking to him in such a friendly manner. What had he done to deserve such kindness? It was mind boggling.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Well, good." Phasma said, pleased, "You can come on over, if you'd like. And when the barmaid comes over here again, we can have a nice drink. Though, admittedly, I probably won't be able to stay much longer than that. A spirit medium's work is nearly never done, as I've certainly told Mr. Flaskbone here."

[Mik_Hael]

The package glows slightly, "!!!Spirit medium? Ask her if she has any souls she can throw our way:D."

Scourge whispers under his breath "Quiet."

Logan moved to the table slowly, nearly tripping on a chair leg. He caught himself on the table and sat down quickly with a thump.

"Ah, thank you, " he sighed to Phasma.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Ah, yes, that's nice." Phasma received the tea graciously from the barmaid, "Nice, warm green tea. Now, I suppose we can get down to business. What are your names, fellow newcomers?"

[Mik_Hael]

"...Scourge...nice to meet you."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"L-Logan Highbrand....my name is." Logan admitted as he picked absently at the cloth binding of Wayward Soul.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Well, interesting names, for sure." Phasma smiled, "Logan...Scourge...pleasant to make your acquaintances. And I've given you my name, but I think I forgot to introduce you to a friend of mine. His name is Casper."

The black cat looks up from his bowl of cream, nearly empty again, and nods, saying, "Charmed, I'm sure."

[Mik_Hael]

"......I should probably get going." Scurros turns in his chair to leave, but he pauses as a faint glow emanates from the cloth from his back, and he sits down emitting a cross between a grunt and a sigh.

"So," he said addressing the cat "I take it you're a resident of this plane?" The nervous twitch returned.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"I am." Casper replied flatly, "It's the only plane I've ever lived in, in fact. I'm Phasma's familiar. And speaking of cats...or rather, of curiosity...what's that on your back? Are you a swordsman?"

"Casper!" Phasma speaks up, "You nosy cat! I'm sorry, Scourge. Forgive him. He's always been in the business of getting in other people's business..."

[Mik_Hael]

"I don't mind, really..." Scourge laughs nervously, "Yes, it's a sword, but I just use it for guitar repair, or as a skinning knife."

"How dare you compare me to a mundane device such as that! I've got sensibilities darn it, even if your lying at least say I'm a battle axe or an..."

"Yep," Scurros said ignoring the telepathic voice, "just a dull blade I found on my travels, I'm not even sure I could use it in a fight."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"This is rather strange," Logan thought to himself, "perhaps I'll fit in here better than I thought."

[Zaleramancer]

"Hazel may no one!" He said with a gaptoothed smile. "She works at th' inn. I can show you."

[Zaleramancer]

The two old men had been glancing at the strangers for a few minutes, pausing in their game of dice.

One of them, a short and board fellow, stood to tread towards their table.

So. You're adventurers, ain't you?" He asked a bit nervously,  wiping his hands on his pants. "I mean, a buncha strangers wander into town. Two of 'em got swords that make my teeth tingle, one of 'ems huge and the other's got some cat that gives me the willies. I figure that means you're the adventuring type."

[Mik_Hael]

"No, just a traveling vagrant, but why do you ask?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Well, ah...I suppose...that I am....adventuring." Logan replied.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Why, I'm nothing more than a humble medium to the spirit world, with her faithful feline companion." Phasma smiles, petting Casper.

[Philote]

"My acquaintances here may or may not be adventurers, but I certainly am" Pion replies, his interest piqued "What is it you need, I'll take on the job myself."
