Elemental Planes Role Play

Rules and Guidelines:

The ten elements are:
Heat (fire/heat)
Frost (Ice/cold)
Energy (Lightning/magnetism/etc)
Liquid (Water/other liquid powers)
Light (holy/normal)
Dark (night/demonic/void/normal)
Earth (ground/minerals/rocks/gravity)
Air (Wind/gases/sound)
Metal (metals/ores/tech/energy absorption)
Growth (Plant (trees/grass/etc) and Animal (Human/body/species))

Each person begins with Basic Elemental Manipulation and Basic Elemental Generation. At the death of each Colossi, each team member gains a skill that I will approve of. At every Fifth level you can upgrade a skill you have obtained previously, and at every Tenth level you gain a physical alteration of your character.

Joining the team is also a golem with the heart of a water Colossus named Talos:
A mechanical golem with skin made of water. Through its see through skin you can see its metal skeleton and the gears and springs that give it motion. Its ribs are able to open so that items can be stored within and it has the ability to regenerate its stocks of water to hydrate the team. It records the progress of the team and transmits it to the military. Unlike humans with the heart of a colossus, it is unable to fight elementals, but is slightly more durable. It is normally smaller than a human, but is able to expand slightly to hold objects.

Unless I say so, consider that you will be able to survive in each area. Meaning that there is air, and if you are in the fire plane for example you won't automatically burn up just by entering.

A person with darkness can learn Dark/earth skills
and a person with Fire can learn Fire/earth skills.
But a person with Dark can't learn Fire/earth skills because it has to be part Dark.

There are three types of creatures so far in the Elemental Planes:
1. Pure Elementals: creatures of different designs made directly out of a certain element.
2. Elemental Animals: Both normal and odd beasts that have elemental properties.
3. The Colossi: Evolved forms of both the previous types.

All Colossi have elemental hearts that are not affected by the physical plane. These hearts are the hearts that give you your elemental powers. Colossi also may or may not have physical hearts that are unconnected to the elemental heart.

If we somehow get over 10 characters, the characters after the first 10 will be the survivors of previous groups that have joined with the new group for protection.

Your planet has broken an ancient pack with the elementals, by obtaining the powers of a Colossus’s heart and abusing the powers of the elemental planes. Now humanity is at war and you have become part of one of the many units designed to enter into the elemental planes and execute the Colossi before their power is able to affect Earth. You have absorbed the power of a modified Colossus obtained from a past unit, giving you the forbidden powers of the elementals and allowing you to travel the infinite elemental planes.

Your character has either enlisted or drafted into the group and has briefly met the other team members between the time of getting the colossus heart that gave you your powers and going through the first portal. You have had a short period of survival and combat training. Time and supplies were short by the point when you entered the first portal, leaving the team to collect supplies during the journey.

Your first objective is:

Realm: Fire

Field: The area is a field of small stars (About the size of asteroids). One half of each star is burning, while the other looks like solidified lava, making it possible to travel on. There are also pillars connecting the stars made of old solar flares that have solidified. At the edge of your vision, you are barely able to see a blue wall with massive caves that loop through the rock and back to the original area. The area is hot, but only enough so as to be annoying.

Colossus: An old colossus. The colossus is an old man who used to be chained to an island of fire. Now though he has broken free, but still has chains pierced into his body from when he was imprisoned. The only piece of the island that is left connected to him is an old volcano which is attached to chains pierced into his Ears, chin, and nose. Along with the ability to breathe fire, he has an endless supply of lava that he can pick up from the volcano attached to him.

The air was hot and still. I looked out at the new realm that we had just entered, scanning it for any sign of life. Satisfied that we were safe for now, I turned back to face the group of people I had traveled here with. Each one was different in their own way. Each one was a user of a different element. Together we would slay the Colossus of this realm, but to do so we would have to work as a team.

"So, I guess we should set up camp and start getting acquainted with each other." I announce to the group, "We can search for the Colossus when we're ready."

I was pretty sure that no one else cared, but in my head, I wondered what this colossus character would look like. It promised to be menacing, especially if it would take all of us to defeat him, and so I decided it was best not to anticipate it. I needed to keep my head, rather than worry about then coming danger. Here we were, encroaching on its territory, where its element was prevalent, but we would have to take it down.

For that, a clear head and a plan were a definite must.

I wiped a bit of sweat from my forehead before it got to my eye, and continued walking, watching my every step.

Hot, and arid,a lot different from home but I should be able to manage.It's odd in this place, I have heard tales of these places before, planes controlled by the elements, but nothing can prepare ou for the real thing......Even so my blood still boils with excitement, the chance of a fight, a hunt the likes of which you have never had before it is thrilling, but I suppose I can blame my ancestors for that.

I look around taking in the scene. Fascinating, a whole other level of reality that is entirely for fire. While the lack of an earth like sky is dissapointing it certainly is nice in respect to the heat. I wonder what sort of creatures we might find.

"I think I'll start out by saying what everyone else is thinking."

"It is really, really, really hot." I say, practically drooping where I stood under the heat. That's all this place seemed to be. Fire and magma and the constant omnipresent heat.

But at least some of that had to just be me. I always was more of a winter person.

I need to stop whining. And having whiny internal monologues.

"So.. Now we wander around until we find the Colossus?"

The star the group is standing on releases built up energy into a solar flare across from where the group is standing. The solar flare reaches far into the sky before finally brushing against another floating star and slowly cooling into a bridge.

"I think it's clear which direction we should head in now" I say as I look up at the cooling solar flare.

Magnificent, these stars form natural bridges.

"A celestial bridge, excellent, come my comrads before another one desides to sprout itself on our current location." I begin to make a dash towards the sun bridge, manipluating a bit of darkness to block the light and lower my temperature.

I sprint towards the bridge. Using my element in here might make it a bit dangerous to handle, but molten metal should be quite affective.

I use my ability to force two stones into the cooled flare. I use the stones like climbing picks to stay on the flare and scale it.

I form metal gloves over my hands and rapidly clim the flare. If I go quickly these shouldn't overheat.

I cause giant vines to grow from my back and use them to climb the bridge.

"LOOK! IM DOCTOR OCTOPUS!!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

I simply begin running up the side of it, gravities off here, and it's cooler than walking across hot coals.

I reach the point where gravity evens out and remove the gloves just running across.

When the entire group finnaly reached the next star, I asked, "Which way now?"

I scan the surrounding area, but see nothing important.
