Re: Domain Game Quest

"That's all for now."

"Alright Arthur, take care."

You wander back over to Amanda as she pulls her arm out of the water, triumphantly clutching the ball. She turns when she see you.

"Back again?"

>WIND?

"My Domain? I can control the air around me." She demonstrates, waving her hand. A sudden breeze kicks up in the room. "It's okay, I guess. Not as good as the others."

"It seems pretty cool to me."

"Yeah, but it's just an element. Compared to Domains like fear, memory, doom, or life it's comes off as kind of lackluster."

"You met people who controlled those?"

"Not exactly. How you use your domain depend on your class. So if you had wind and I had words, our powers would behave completely differently."

>CIRCLES?

"Just a little thing that Marion discovered. She said that all classes had others that naturally complemented them. She called them circles. Some were bigger than others, and some were within other, larger circles."

"So, that guy, you, and Marion were all in a circle?"

"Yeah. I have to admit, we did do well when we all worked together. But Malcolm was an ass, and made it hard to keep it up."

(Classes within the same circle compliment one another. If you discover a circle, group those players together to enhance their effectiveness.)

Circle Discovered:
The Three Pillars of Magic
Components: Mage, Witch/Wizard, Seer.

>POP ME?

"Like a balloon. I should apologize for that, I guess. But I really see no need to power up someone who's likely to turn traitor once they realize how long the odds are. But if you're the "right man in the wrong place" that Marion was talking about, I'll trust her judgement. But if you even LOOK like you're going to switch sides, I'll gut you!"

>SCOUT?

"Yeah, that's me. You remember how I said I didn't see the front line very often? That's because I was usually behind it, gathering Intel and stabbing people in the back."

"So, you were a spy?"

"No, Spy's are a different class entirely. Fought one once. Wasn't that tough. Being away so much was probably what saved me during the defection. I was just coming back when it was happening."

"What do you mean, Saved you?"

His expression darkens considerably. "Some red convinced our silver tongued Prince, and he convinced a bunch of other people, that the war was lost and it would be better if our friends died peacefully in their beds instead of getting Vaporized by Jessica. That was the price they had to pay to join Red."

"That's...That... I can't even imagine. What happened?"

"Well, I run into Blue Base and there's fighting everywhere. I help as best I can, but then the rest of the Reds showed up. The surviving Blues scattered into the forest. My group had about six, counting Amanda and Marion."

You don't even ask what happened to them.

"So, what happens to the Prince?"

"Hiding in red base being treated like a king, probably. I wish I could go in there and get him!"

"You could sneak right into the base?"

This he smirks at. "Ain't no one better at stealth than I am."

New Word:

Stealth: Makes target invisible so long as they don't move.

>AMANDA?

"What can I say that you haven't already experienced first hand? How she acts with you is how she acts with pretty much everyone. Well, except, ya'know, Marion. She went all soft around her. Don't ask her why, cause she'll bite your head off."

"Anything about her past?"

"She keeps that to herself. Keeps most thing to herself, actually. But whatever it is, must have been bad to give her that winning personality."

"You don't sound like you even like her."

"I'm pretty sure I don't. But don't think that mean I don't trust her. I'd put my life in that girls hands easy."

Bond Discovered:
Sole Survivors (+): Armand and Amanda

(Armand and Amanda have a bond. Characters with a bond are more effective when working together. Bonds are based on Friendship, Love, or Trust. When two character hate one another this is also a Bond. Bonds of this nature will cause players to be less effective when teamed up. If you think two characters may have the potential to form a Bond, you can place them together or attempt to use your Words to help establish it.)

Re: Domain Game Quest

Gentleman Vaultboy
"Well, if you're done badgering the both of us, then we can get going." Amanda says, slipping the ball into her pocket.

"Get going to where?" You ask.

"To our hideout. Plan our next move." Armand calls out from the entrance. "If you're the one that Marion said to wait for, then that mean we have to begin our counterattack."

"Or we all die, taking as many Reds with us as we can in the process." Says Amanda, walking up to him. You follow her. Outside the doorway you see a vast jungle. In the center lies a mountain. "How far is it?"

"Not far, Arthur. Don't worry, just keep up with me." Armand says, jogging out into the afternoon air.

"If you can huff it, book boy." Amanda says, following him.

Seeing no other option you, to head out into the jungle, struggling to keep up with the two, questions clouding your thoughts. What was the game? Why we're you here? How were you ever expected to win against such overwhelming odds? But above it all sounded the words of the enigmatic Marion.

The right man in the wrong place...

Re: Domain Game Quest

>INTERMISSION

The temple was empty and still, and seemingly silent. But there seemed to be, underneath the noise of the fountain, another sound. A rhythmic sound. The gentle sound of the intake and exhale of breath. Of course, this was impossible. After all, too look in the room it was completely empty. To look at it...

Of course, it's easy to hide from prying eyes if those eyes were your domain. Especially if you were a thief. Such was the advantage of being the Thief of Sight.

Of course, she was visible now. She always was, really. She was only invisible when people were around. All she had to do was reach out and pluck her image right out of someones corneas. Of course, that didn't mean it hadn't been touch and go during the battle. She had almost been hit several times, and afterwards she had had to bite her arm to keep from laughing at the Rogue. Stealthiest, yeah right. Pull the other one, it's got bells on.

Well, at least now the Reds new the general area the Blues were hiding in. Now they could sweep in here and raze the entire jungle to the...

"HAhahahahahhaahahahahahha! hahaahhaahhhahhaah!"

She couldn't keep it in anymore. Yeah, like hell was that happening. That wasn't in the plan. Nope, wasn't in the plan at all. That's why she had called up one of her associates as soon as that idiot Malcolm bit off more than he could chew. He should be here soon.

The fountain drips steadily into the pool in the floor. A summer breeze blows through the new hole in the wall. It ruffles Malcolm's old red coat, laying in twain on the floor. Nothing to do but wait.

Re: Domain Game Quest

Gentleman Vaultboy
She has no idea what >Tome Word (Stealth) means, but the words pop into her head suddenly and without warning. She Swings around, looking for the source of the noise, trying to figure out if she had been seen. Finding no one, she settled down. Must have just been, like, a trick of the birdsong that she had heard. Yeah, that's it...

What kind of bird was able to pronounce > though?

"Iris?"

The girl's camera was in her hand before she had even spun around. Before her stood a boy dressed very stylishly, all in red.

"Sorry I'm late, baby-doll, but you would not believe the day I'm having."

She relaxed. It was only Est.

"It's okay" she said, more to herself than to him. "I'm just glad your here. What, are you cosplaying David Bowie?"

"I'll have you know," he said, sounding slightly offended, "That this is entirely an original design."

"Relax, Est. It was a complement. You look good in a cravat."

The boy did not seem convinced. He looked over to the jacket lying on the ground. His face fell. "Oh no, is that Malcolm's? I put my heart and soul into that one. I nearly cried when I found out that that ass was wearing it. I knew something like this would happen."

"Oh, we both know that you can fix it."

"Yes, but its the principle of the thing." he replied, walking over to fallen jacket and pulling out a needle and thread.

"These frontliners, no appreciation for fine art."
