Character (Well, User) Backstories

[Celadon's Penultimate]

Not to mention, she's got to be a mage.

    "Hello, Crimson," said Aurum. "I would like to buy 5 ounces of hydrargyrum."
    "Alright, but it will cost you 5 silver coins," replied Crimson.
    Crimson was a skinny man of medium height and build. He wore a shirt and pants made of tanned leather and had no obvious weapons. Aurum pulled out a gold coin and handed it to Crimson who handed her 5 silver coins and a vial containing 5 ounces of hydrargyrum. As Aurum and Dryad left the shop, Dryad asked, "Why did you buy five ounces of hydrargyrum?"
    "This? It's because I feel like using some of my metal-controlling spells, plus it's poisonous," responded Aurum.
    The two exited the city afterbuying food, water, and paper then walked north towards the Burning Woods. When they reached the highway though, they were stopped by a band of highway robbers. As she pulled out a vial, Aurum said, "I'll take on the ones on the right, you take the ones on the left, Dryad."
    "Understood," said Dryad. "Nature's Wrath!"
    Dryad threw seeds at her opponents which burst into dozens of thorny vines. The vines wrapped around the highwaymen holding them in place, crushing their arms to make the drop their weapons, and entered the ground to spread roots. Meanwhile, Aurum created needles from the hydrargyrum, froze the ground around her enemies' feet, and punctured their throats with her needles. As Aurum returned the hydrargyrum to the vial, she said, "You were fools to pick a fight with me. I am Aurum Spellcaster of the Mage's Guild of the Elemental Union and I am Auric-ranked. Let's get going Dryad."
    "Alright, could you teach me those spells later?" asked Dryad.
    "Those spells were simple ones though!" said Aurum. "The spells were 'Freeze,' 'Metal Reform,' and 'Metal Movement.'"
    "You forget that my specialties in magic though are Earth and Nature."
    "Metal is a subset of Earth so it should be easy for you," Aurum sighed. "I guess I need to teach you how to use all types of magic."

    Two weeks later, Aurum and Dryad arrived at the Burning Woods. The Burning Woods' trees were on fire but only in the canopy, the rest looked like any other forest.
    "Ok, let's find that chimera and stop its rampage through the countryside," said Aurum. "Its home is in these woods."
    Just then, two wolves burst out of the woods with the chimera right behind them. Both wolves had gray fur but one had red circles around its eyes and ankles while the other one had blue circles around its eyes and ankles. The wolves were also as large as elephants but still only half the size of the chimera. The wolves ran two meters past Aurum and Dryad then collapsed. As they did so, they turned into two humans, both of whom had wounds all over their bodies. Meanwhile, Aurum and Dryad had stopped the chimera with walls of intertwining soil and plants. Dryad ran over to the two humans and checked their pulses.
    "They're alive and going to be alright," she called to Aurum.
    "Let's get them to safety," replied Aurum as she carefully pulled five teeth out of the chimera's mouth, the put the teeth in her pouch.
    Aurum and Dryad carried the two humans to a nearby cave, then laid them down on the ground and started a fire for warmth. As they did so, they noticed that the two humans had similar facial structures and were thus probably related. Both of the humans had shoulder length hair threaded with beads and wore cotton shirts and pants. One was male, the other was female. Neither had any obvious weapons. As Dryad was making dinner, she heard a groan and turned around. The girl was now sitting up and said, "Hello, my name is Jaina Rosenthal and that over there is my twin, Caesar. Thanks for saving us. Our clan is dead and we're the only survivors. My brother can control fire, light, and, gravity and is stronger during the day, while I can control water, shadows, and gravity and I am stronger at night. Both of us can turn into wolves."

    "Ah," said Aurum. "I see that the wolf-girl is awake."
    Aurum had just come back to the cave and had brought back with her some herbs and a rabbit for a stew for dinner. Just as she came in, Caesar groaned and sat up rubbing his head. Jaina went over to him and checked how he was doing. Caesar and Jaina looked over at Aurum and Dryad then said cautiously, "Are you two mages?"
    "Yes," said Aurum. "I am Aurum, an Auric-level mage of the Elemental Union. I am considered to be one of the 12 archmages."
    "Wait," said Jaina. "If you are one of the 12 archmages and thus part of the ruling council of the Elemental Union, then what are you doing here?!?"
    "Well," said Dryad. "Aurum and I both dislike being in cities. We prefer the wilderness, plus I am a druid, so it benefits me more if I am out in the wilderness."
    "I see," said Caesar. "How good of a druid are you? Are you able to speak in wolf-speech?"
    "Yes," said Dryad. "I can speak in and understand wolf-speech. I am powerful enough to cast the spell 'World of Nature's Power' whenever I want."
    "You're that powerful?" said Jaina. "If Aurum is Auric-ranked, then what rank are you?"
    "I hate to say it," said Aurum. "But Dryad is not ranked at all however I estimate her power levels to be at least that of an Argentous-ranked mage."
    "How high did you say, Aurum?" asked Dryad. "Argentum?"
    "No, I said Argentous and the food looks like it's going to burn," replied Aurum. "I'm hungry! How about you two?"
    "Im ready!" chimed in Jaina and Caesar in unison.
    Dryad put her spoon into the stew and checked how it tasted. Nodding her head, she put out a hand for the others' bowls and ladled soup into each person's bowl. As Jaina and Caesar wolfed down the stew, Dryad said, "Don't worry about quantity. There's more than enough stew for each person to get seconds or for that matter thirds."

So she has magic that leans toward druid-power or are Druids some kind of people?

Druids are in a way a type of people, but really now? You don't know what a druid is? Druids are mages that are closer to nature than other mages.

Of course, the druids are not a separate species in that world. The species are: Angels, Basilisks, Chimera, Demons, Dhampires, Dragons, Elves, Giants, Gorgons, Humans, Kitsune, Liches, Lycanthropes, Mummies, Nekomata, Phoenixes, Raiju, Sea Serpents, Trolls, Vampires, Yukionna, and Zombies.
I may state more eventually, by the way Jaina and Caesar are upper-class werewolves if you can't figure it out. Their powers are 'Mark of Hati' and Mark of Skoll' respectively, the immortality is replaced with 'Immortal Life Span. '

 Well, it certainly helps as an exercise to get your creative juices flowing.

Like my terrors, horrors, puffles, feasels, hubbumpulumps, warmongers, sapients, various types of elf (Tech, Dream, Blood, High, etc), highkind, cetophages, phylts, phyllosaurs, gillamobis, gongolongos, gongocentaurs, gongosatyrs, boogies, enlaudiguses (or enlaudigi), phlegoflamers, Saturn's Flytraps, Pluto's Beartraps, impals, imps (monkey beasts), ganodrakes, ganodragons, gyradragons (mardragons), sandworms, sandfanes, quogs, slogs, sluggins, snailiens, kitties of doom, quarry eaters, adamas (plural adamates), cave creepers, aerohunters, feigning infirms, killeraptors, blovian floaters, etc. etc.

    The next morning, Dryad woke up and walked outside to give some of the food she, Aurum, Jaina, and Caesar had eaten for dinner the night before to some of the birds outside. As she did so, Jaina followed her outside to see what Dryad was doing.
    "Do you do this everyday?" asked Jaina startling Dryad.
    "You scared me," said Dryad. "No one is usually up at this time of the day. It's a nice time to think without others interrupting."
    "Ah, I see," said Jaina. "My brother and I usually take turns keeping watch just in case someone or something attacks where we are sleeping. It's really just a habit for us."
    "Ok, well we're going to go to Tathagata in the Elemental Union to take a new job at the Mage's Guild. Want to come with us?"
    Jaina thought about it for a few seconds, then said, "Alright, if I recall correctly, the guildmaster owes my family a favor so Caesar and I might join the Mage's Guild too."
    Aurum and Caesar walked out of the cave and Aurum said, "Time to leave for Tathagata so that we can get our next job, Dryad. You two going to come with us?"
    Jaina and Caesar echanged looks then said in unison, "Absolutely, we'd love to!"
    The group cleaned up their camp and left the cave. One week later, they arrived at a village that was being attacked by brigands. Aurum took one look at what was happening then erected a magical barrier as an arrow flew at the group. She said, "They attacked us? I am going to annihilate them for that and for what they are doing to this village! Dryad, stay here and create a barrier to protect the puppies."
    "We're not puppies!" cried Caesar and Jaina as Dryad erected her own barrier and Aurum started to proceed towards the village. As Aurum got ten feet from the others, someone cried out, "Multiply and ignite, Spirit's War! Take that ya losers!"
