Philote: Its the source and origin of my power, without it I would not have gained the other extensions of my power that I have available now.

Gilgamesh: I believe I've proven my powers, simply ask Hazet or the Spirit-Eating Dragon.

Zauber: I'm only on the edge of my potential at the moment, the most I can do is a three-mote-string elemental ward, but once I perfect my mote casting abilities I will be able to travel towards the ranks my fellow Correnians have achieved.

Crescent: "The weapon I used when we fought that red column. The Silver Crescent Fang: Legacy Mode is my best because it can deal the greatest amount of damage quickest to my enemies, plus it increases how fast I can move when I use it."

Suzu: "That question's a no-brainer. The 'Excelsior' it is. Excelsior is an anti-mage weapon that can absorb magic to enhance its cutting power and/or durability at its wielder's choice. As well, Excelsior acts as a deadly poison to any magic-user cut by its blade. Excelsior's appearance is a pure white with katana blade and the guard of a saber."

Dryad: "I don't really have a preference. I could use anything, but if I had to pick, I would choose my Soulsword because it is a part of me."

Well, in Celadon mythos, deities and similarly powerful beings come into existence prior to the domain over which they rule. They don't exist because their domain exists; rather, their existence allows their domain to exist. And Gaugamon embodies the destruction of Celadon. So naturally, as his importance is among the most crucial to Celadon's history, he was among the first to come into existence. Before him, the beings necessary to create and rule Celadon itself (ie, the Elementals).
