"Could we pretty please NOT get into a base bar brawl?"

"Fine, coward, we'll do it your way"

*Sigh* "Philistine..."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

I'll choose to ignore that remark seeing as you agreed to help us.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 "You guys coming or not?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Yes, yes...."

[Philote]

"Just preparing for travel"

[Celadon's Penultimate]

[Marvelous Miscreant]

I chug the rest of my drink and head for the door.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Okay, so, tomorrow, we should be able to start travel in the direction of the Jokers. Or, at least we can start looking for leads."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Sounds good."

[Philote]

I find my traveling companions in the morning to wake them up and take them to where I have the stagecoach prepared.

"Shall we head off?"

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 "Indeed..." I say groggily. I've grown used to waking up early, but still am rather wearied by the thought of having to pursue the Jokers.

After I put my clothes on and get some sustenance in me, I begin looking through all my maps, and proposing likely places to pick up some valuable hearsay and gossip.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Let's get this show on the road. The sooner we find the escaped Jokers, the sooner I can beat them within an inch of thier lives and drag them back home."

[Philote]

We set out on the road and pass time as best we can as we travel the first day.

During the second day of our travel, I decide to recheck my notes for our rout and decide to ask Wulf about something that has been troubling me.

"This dark spot on the map that we have to pass through, what is it? I haven't been able to locate any information on it in the notes I received at the last town."

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Oh", I begin nervously, "I suppose I should tell you...the next land we'll pass into is somewhat...uncharted. And for good reason. It's the home of the Crazy Eights...a band of Eights were among the first infantry sent in to attack the Jokers. They were captured in a band lead by Solitaire, and tortured until they themselves went mad. They won't likely be glad to see any of us."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Good, this trip was starting to get boring."

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 "Glad you think that..."

[Philote]

"Has no one tried to deal with these Crazy Eights in the past?"

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Well, er, yes, but...well, they're crazy. Only our predecessors had the skill to handle them, or at least survive them, as far as the history tells. The last time they were faced, it was before any of our four kingdoms was even established. We barely know what they're like at all, but it can't be good."
