So, what type of setting does this take place in, Exactly? I know their are kingdoms, but are they generic fantasy kingdoms, or are they based on something more associated with playing cards, like 1920 mob movies or the wild west?

Can't very well make a character for this if I don't know what type is appropriate.

Oh, they're actually a mix of card games with a D&D type setting.

I need to flesh out the plot some, though, to make things interesting. The way I did it before was pretty spur of the moment. If I could think of some coherent stuff ahead of time, I think it would turn out much better.

(And you've got time as far as character creation is concerned; this likely won't resurrect until two or three more RPs end )

It makes you more or less invulnerable. Almost any form of attack uses energy, directly or indirectly.

You attack him, he just turns it into something harmless- or redirects it back towards you.
