So this is what I was thinking of, what if a DNA-Altering Explosion occurs in a discarded army base and grants many people superpowers. Then, when a scientist finds out about these powers, he captures all of the 'specials' which he calls 'patients' and puts them in cells. All of them are codenamed after Greek letters of the alphabet, Alpha through Omega, and the scientist performs many experiments on them. The one codenamed 'Patient Omega' somehow opens all of the cells and they all go free in different groups. The scientist and his superpowered goons set off to find and re-capture them at all costs.
