The Mini-Adventure!

Today did not seem like a promising day for adventure.

It was a gray, overcast day. Fall was well upon this part of the world, and the chill in the air seemed to seep through any amount of clothing. Even the bright leaves of the trees along the road seemed faded. Through the forest you could catch a glimpse of stony ruins.

The Lord Mayor had been very nervous.  A short and rather plump gentleman, the mayor had been eager to pay them and send them off. He seemed to doubt that any of you would come back alive, and was merely using this to appease the village as a whole.

So you set off, heading down the road to the south, to a path the Mayor had told you would lead directly to the center of the largest cluster of ruins.

The night elf walks with the group, looking serious, ready to spring into hiding at the slightest hint of danger.

"Let's get this done right. Who knows when the next time we'll get a paying job like this." The spellsword announces as the group walks along the path.

"I hope it doesn't take too long..." Rory Walker, the bounty hunter, groaned, "I got a deadline to meet with that shady guy I met in the tavern."

The group reaches a bend in the road.

Phi, who has been holding himself in constant alertness, notices something odd. The sounds of the forest near your group have ceased.

Because of this, he's the only one who is not surprised when three men in leather armor swinging swords leap out of the trees. Behind them is a man with a bow.

*Phi gets to go first, then the bandits attack.*

The first bandit is unable to take his second step by the time that I have my bow ready and an arrow draw. Taking careful aim, I shoot to take out his knee.

Seeing the bandits approaching, Rory unsheathes his sword, and runs for the one about his same size. His strike is quick, precise and deadly.

He absolutely hated bandits. They always took the money he could be making with bounty hunting.

And so he would show no mercy.

The Spellsword draws his blade as the Bandits attack. His blade courses with power making it deadlier. He swings it in a neat slash at one of the bandits.

The bandit I fired at falls to the ground in pain, unable to continue to fight. Behind him, the archer of the bandits group takes aim at me, but I roll into the brush and disappear into the shadows. The archer turns to the next closest in the group, Rory, and takes aim.

Rory turns to see the archer aiming for him.

"Really? Bow and arrow? Hehehe, think again."

Rory dodges the first arrow, and pulls a stray bandit into the way, when the archer decided to get fancy and shoot three at the same time.

The instant after the arrowed bandit falls to his knees, Rory's unsheathed his sword and is quickly upon the archer before he has the chance to launch another arrow.

"Indeed." Rory replies coldly; he butts the archer in the face with the end of his sword, and slashes through the whip-wielder that comes to the archer's aid.

He then turns his attentions back to the archer, and punches the living daylights out of him, before tossing him into a third oncoming bandit, and slashing the two of them.

From the shadows, I unleash another arrow to take out a bandit. Looking at the original bandit that I struck in the knee, I decided to get some information out of him, since he is no longer able to fight.
