Souls don't die.

Bodies die, then the soul gets shuffled to the underworld until a suitable afterlife is found for it.

His soul was not revived because it never died. You killed his body and his soul had no choice but to go the the underworld because it lacked anything to tether it to here.

Now, Jaria made his soul move out of the underworld, through the lake into his corpse.

and like I said, theres a difference between being resurrected and reanimating a corpse.

No, there isn't. If you animate a corpse, you are ressurecting it.

Originally I had a long winded explanation but I my computer logged out and I don't have the care to explain it again.

Basically this.

Deal with god of death = Ability to track down those who broke the rules of life and death= this would include those who bring back the dead without permisison= I don't know who brings them back, I just knw that they were brought back, and where they are= otherwise I would have no way possible to do my job independently.

Conflict? I was thinking more like an all out war. Taking the most populous and god blessed race so far and then instigating a cult among them that worships another goddess will cause that. Also, I meant sacrificing an Aetheri that WASEN'T in the cult. Plus, for what I plan to do I'm going to have to send Orelion on a vacation so she won't implode from the chaos.

There is a difference. Reanimate just implies movement. You'd get zombies or other undead.

Resurrection is the total revival of something. They'd be just as the were in life.

It doesn't matter if it was with permission or not, this is the first time it's every happened, and before hand I never needded to even consider differentiating.

I mean, she's bloodthirsty, not suicidal. Or stupid.

She expects you to find out and exile the cultist or something of that nature.

Just a thought, I was thinking that she would want to have people sacrificed to her. Plus I was intending to have someone find out, tell a priest, then have the cultists eliminated while sending out a cleric death squad to find Jaria.

@Jester: Just like how when you need my aid I can send out Tiemalyai to rip the offender out of the time stream or have Orelion mercilessly pummel them with her collection of squares.

You just have to find out about the cult at all.

And then figure out she started it.. somehow..

And then find a goddess who will no doubt have figured out you are after her by then..

And then try to fight her..
