I walk out of the training chamber an unknown period of time later, exhausted, and notice that the rest of the class has already left. I will have to learn the next step in my training when class begins again tomorrow.

I head back to the main hall to take a break and look up what head tutoring classes are available.

"Now, there are several spirits in this very room. I want you all to try and sense their presence. This is step one to communicating with them."

Billy closes his eyes and raise up his hand. He turns slowly around the room, palm out, feeling.

There they were. The air in that direction was slightly colder, and the shadows playing on the back of his eyelids were moving in strange patterns. One there, One over there, One behind the Teacher, one under his desk....

"My, there are a lot of you in here, aren't there?"

He wondered if they had been asked to be here or where just curious.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Once you have sensed a spirit's presence you can magically call to it. If the spirit responds it will become visible to you and speak. I want you all to attempt this."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"O spirits,"Billy calls in calm, respectful voice. "Ones that came before, Holy Ghosts, Honored Dead, this humble servant has a request of you. Please appear and speak with me. That is all."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

The spirit of what appeared to be a short portly man appeared in front of Billy.

"Allo der little buddy. You needs to talks with me?"

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Ah yes, hello there, greetings. My Name is Billy, and it is a honor to meet you, sir." Billy is halfway to extending his hand when it occurs to him that that will do no good. So instead, he bows politely. "May I have your name, if that wouldn't be to presumptuous?"

Asoka reaches into her bag and pulls out a wooden katana.

Asoka: "Take this and do 1000 basic overhand strikes."

Asoka demonstrates once then hands the katana to Ashgrove.

Asoka: "Get to it while I do my sequences."

Asoka goes next to Ashgrove and begins to correct his form.

Asoka: "Straighten up. Move your arms slowly...."

Asoka continues with the corrections.

"Ya, you can calls me Charlie."

"It's a privilege, Mr. Charlie. Really, it is. Uh..."

Billy was suddenly at a loss for words. He did not have a specific request in mind when he called this spirit up. He supposed he was just supposed to make small talk.

"So, have you been in this school long? What is it like?"

"I been here longer than da school has. Just been minded my own business mostly. It's a rather boring exsistance, but it got some pretty cool perks!"

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"As long as the school? So, how did you, you know, die?"

"Eh? I don't suppose I recall that...its been so long. But it don't do no good to dwell on that."

"Meterology is the most boring mess I've ever seen in my life." Wulf grumbled, leaving his class, "How the heck to weather diviners DO it?"

"Intelligence." Nona-Nephele scoffs, walking past with a group of friends.

"Hey, wait! I need yer notes!" Zap went running behind her.

Wulf sighs...now, where was Creative Sky Magics 101?
