Zauber says his more intelligible "Huh?" not quite sure what he should do with the shackles while Billy sits calmly upon what Zauber assumed to be a Red Eye minion.

"Well," He says, spinning again to face Asoka with a proud, beaming smile. "I built it. I call it Earthshaker. I think the skull is some sort of dragon, but the skull on top of that skull is definitely a bear. I'm pretty sure the arms and legs came from some sort of giant or ogre, and I attached parts of broken ribcage to to give it big claws. For the tail, I just adapted the spinal column."

"I thought it would make an impression on the enemy."

"Well let's hope it does make an impression, a good one on them," Asoka replies thinking of all the points in history (mythological or otherwise) when dragons, bears and other creatures had been taken down by non-mages with nothing but a little bit of ingenuity. "While I do think that today is a good day to die, I'd prefer to be able to boast about fights with my siblings later at home."

The Headmaster hands Billy a small envelope sealed with Professor Karth's insignia.

Billy hops down and eagerly excepts the envelope, opening it gingerly and reading.

The Sample you sent me was interesting. The magic used in the construction of Spiderlings was not entirely of dark origins as I had assumed. The mana signature was mostly normal, but had a strange and darker strand combined with it. It appears to be of a simple binding spell, combined with something I've never seen before. Quite unremarkable by itself, but when combined with the odd mana signature present it was able to generate something akin to pseudo-life. Be careful, this is no doubt some trick employed by an agent of the Red Eyes. It could be used to make something far more frightening than a spider.

Billy leaps vertically from the floor in front of the headmaster back onto the behemoths head when he hears the familiar voice. "Earthshaker, Mr. Ashgrove." he calls happily. "Don't worry, he's with me. My, almost everyone is now here." He says, sitting cross legged on the still beasts head.

Billy hands the professors note to Tiberius. "It seems we have some new information after all. I'm not at all comfortable with the implications of this letter, or the strange mana."

[Philote]

Zauber releases his magic restraints on the giant undead creature. "My transformation seems mild compared to yours" he says "what did you go through to get something like that?"

"You know what, never mind, just tell me what you know about the Red Eye's minions."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Apparently, that spell that created those spiders last yea- a few weeks ago," Billy hastily corrects himself, shaking him head quickly back and forth. "Wee, they were not creatures of black magic. The mana used to create them was entirely normal, just with something layered on to. Some sort of binding combined with something Professor Karth has never seen before. You know Professor Karth? I threw a spider at him once? Anyway, he sends word that a spell like this could give birth to something far worse than that giant spider and her brood."

[Philote]

"Sounds like it could bring nearly anything to life" Zauber muses. "It couldn't be part of the Red Eye's soul be used could it?"

[Zaleramancer]

Tiberius absorbs this information.

"I wonder if something could be used to.. interfere with this binding."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"You both raise excellent points. I would very much like to talk with this person, preferably before I've killed them. I have found they aren't very cooperative once you've done something like that."

"That depends on what you consider dumb," Asoka replies. "Though based on your words, I gather that your's couldn't truly be called an 'epiphany' since it was dumb enough to be called dumb by the one who had it."

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Indeed." Wulf replies, a goofy grin spreading across his face, as he lifts his right hand up to watch the electricity spiderweb between his fingers, "I don't know about you all, but my experience was--pardon the pun--most en-lightning."

"Unfortunately, I think it would be better to unravel this mystery once events have settled down" Zauber advises.

Glowing firefly like lights gather in Zauber's hands as he gathers magic into motes. "Everyone gather around, I'm going to provide us some ward armor for the fight ahead."

"Billy, quick question, we need a symbol to bind us all together against the Red Eye and to strike fear into our enemies for the ward shape I'm about to place. Any ideas?"

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Asoka responds quickly to Zauber's question before Billy has a chance, "It should be a wolf for wolves hunt in packs and right now we are going to be fighting as a group, but later on we will separate into our own paths."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Billy stops laughing at Wulfs pun long to choke out, "I would have probably suggested a big blue finger or something dumb," before seeming to find some strange nuance to the pun that only he could understand and redoubling with laughter.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

Wulf put a hand on his chin, thinking of the most fierce animals he knows of. The thunderbird is the most revered bird in his faith, followed by the vampiric Impundulu, its relative the tiny Lightning Bird, Zeus' Golden Eagle, and Odin's ravens, Hugen and Munin. He sighs. His people really seem to have a thing for birds.

Likely none of those would sound good to anyone outside of his faith.

"Well, I do like the idea of a wolf. Though, with all of our powers so greatly increased, what about something more complex? Like, say, a Boggart? Something to shapeshift into what the leaders fear most? I mean, if it scares the big bad folks in charge, it'd certainly scare their subordinates, right?"
