The Kethencian College of Magic RP (Part 3)

[Philote]

Zauber grabs the first red shirt he sees from a rack.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

Piper speeds from rack to rack throwing outfits into a bag. When she finally decides she has enough, she approach the store owner and hands him a large pack of money. She reaches for the feather pen to sign her receipt when something amazing happens.

the feather pen reacts to her touch and sparks to life. Writing flows from it into the air and binds to Piper's hand, fading into her skin. Then just as suddenly as it started, it ceased.

Piper managed to mumble, "I....I think I found my mage tool."

[Philote]

Zauber drops what he is doing and joins Piper at the check out desk. "Well? Go ahead and try it out, it has to do something amazing."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

Piper flicks it around a few times experimentally. The tip pulses with light and leaves glowing lines in the air. Piper then tries drawing out a charm spell with the pen.

The spell flashes briefly before activating and creating the sweet fragrance of roses in the room.

"OMG OMG OMG OMG." Piper squeal as she hugs first her mage tool then Zauber in excitement.

[Philote]

"Has it spoken to you yet?" Zauber says getting caught up in the excitement.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

Piper blushes....she hadn't thought about that. She concentrated and attempted to speak to it.

"H-hello? Um...what's up?"

"Piper......greetings."

"OH! Um...Greeting to you too."

"...."

"Are you still there?"

"Yes."

"You're not very talkative are you?"

"No."

"What do I call you?"

".............Pen."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Never the less, you have the weight of time on your shoulders. I could only dream of living that long. It would be amazing! How long do you normally live?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

Gob glances at Mush and Mush shrugs. Gob turns to Billy to pass on the shrug. Apparently Phagophobites aren't good at keeping track of their own history.

[Philote]

(I can't hear what they are speaking to each other right?)

"Well that takes care of half of our reason for coming here" Zauber says "We've been walking around for quite awhile now and nothing has reacted to me though."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

(You can't hear her tool talk, but you can hear her.....so half the conversation is understandable.)

"I guess so, but don't worry. Your tool is bound to be around here somewhere!" Piper chimes.

"Doubt it...."

"Oh shush Pen."

[Philote]

"Is your....um...pen? giving you trouble?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"No, it's nothing," Piper lied, "Let's see if we can;t find your mage tool."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

They could live to be older than Grandfather, and they wouldn't even know. Other worlds where so interesting! Billy decided to change the subject.

"So, what are your plans now, Mr.Gob? Living situation wise? You going to stay in town with your brother, or do I still need to buy an appropriately sized bed?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"It was nice seeing Mush, but we have different lives. Gob would like to stay with Billy."

[Philote]

"I wouldn't know where to begin" Zauber replied "Nothing seems to resonate with me."

"Why don't we test out your tool's special power outside before we start roaming around again."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Sure thing handsome...I mean Zauber. I mean...yeah....Let's go outside."

[Philote]

 Zauber blushed and silently followed Piper out.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Got it!" Billy says, thumbing up. "Then lets get you all set up!" Billy turns to the trader he had saved. "So," he asks, "About my earlier question?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Oh, yeah....sure I gots some beds in stock. Follow me." The Trader gesture towards his shop.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Billy and the Brothers followed the man, and picked out several appropriate bits of furniture. Afterward, Munch and Gob showed him the around the city, pointing out the things he would like. Like the morgue.

I was a pretty good day for everyone involved.
