[Gentleman Vaultboy]

The rustling of papers down the prompts Billy to look behind him, and see the large angry face streaming towards him. Good, that meant he was off Ashgrove.

Billy quickly makes his way over a nearby table, vaulting it and flipping it up between them. No idea if it would do any good, but it made him feel better. He felt more secure behind a wall. Secure enough to get the paper man to focus on him.

"Well, I don't see any reason to continue this charade. Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Bishop, Kyrse. I'm going to kill you, then I'm going to burn you to ash, then I'm going to kill your master. Depending on how forgiving I am at that moment, I might burn him as well. I don't know. I'm leaning toward the burning at this point."

That was good, he had managed to keep the terror out of his voice. Rolling on his stream of conscientious, he picked up a glass from the table and threw it at him.

"Also, I'm the one that did that earlier."

Asoka finally manages to dodge the last of the papers flying around her area and looks for Billy, Piper, and Zauber. Spotting Piper first, she runs over and says, "Come on. Get up, if there's anything we can do to help the others, we need to do it."

"No, I can't!" Piper cries, "I'm too scared!"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Kill me? Kill my MASTER? You are a fool. You are naught but a nuisance to our kind. We are more than you know. You have no chance. You aren't even unbound yet. You pose no threat to our plans. Don't make me laugh. But you have been insolent and you must be punished."

A rune glow on Kyrse's palm as he reaches for Billy.

"I have a special curse for you in mind."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

"Scared? So is everyone else! Now come on, we need to help everyone!" Asoka cries moving to pull out Piper from her hiding spot.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Billy picks up another glass and covers Kyrse hand with it, before ducking under yet another table and facing him from the other side.

"Unbound? I'm not sure what that means, Kyrse. Pray elaborate?"

It's okay, he told himself, keep him focused on you. Keep him talking. Keep his attention squarely on Billy Bishop. Hope help comes.

Zauber stretched his arm out towards Billy, or what he thought was Billy. The visions he was having were still distorting the world around him. He knew they were still in trouble though. The motes around Zauber reacted, his magic moving out of its own will, and three shield motes went out to form a shield bubble around Billy.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

I watch my fellow students, having absolutely no idea what's going on. But it can't be good.

Two motes covered Zauber's right hand, one of Arcane and one of Shielding. His magic was still reacting on its own as a side effect of the visions coming to him from his mage tool. His hand lifts up and he is literally dragged forward by it. The Arcane Ward on his fist strikes forward to reject the Arcane energies of Kyrse.

Piper follows, but continues her cowering be

Zauber's magics and Eric's cherry bomb collide with Kyrse at the same time. The Cure is dispelled as Kyrse's concentration is broken. He grimaces, his malicious glee replaced with murderous rage. The pages that composed his body rippeled with furious winds and began to expand.

Kyrse's body grew as his rage did. Curse formed across his skin, glowing with evil light.

"You will pay for that..."

[Philote]

His eyes must be deceiving him. Kyres' body sways in front of him as Zauber remains unable to focus his eyes. Zauber remains stunned in front of Kyres as he remains unable to control his mind, and even more so, his magic.

Asoka continues to move towards the source of all the curses, Kyrse, as she talks to Piper, "Do you know any useful enchantments for battle or otherwise that could be used on Murasaki?"

"I...I don't know. I don't know many charms."

"Little mages...you are still bound by your spells. You stand no chance at stopping us."

Kyrse reaches down toward Zauber, his hand aglow with curses and runes.

"Doesn't mean we can't try." I say to myself, ducking back behind a lunch table. I begin to rub my hands together, to build up electricity.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

This was bad. Without the monsters attention on him, Billy as able to look at the situation. Asoka was helping some student he didn't know. Eric was getting more boom-boom. Wulf was here, Billy saw his just for a second before he dove under a table. They all seemed fine.

Zaubar, though, seemed out of it and THAT was probably why Kyres was going for him. Billy looked down at the glowing little shield that surrounded his hands. He thought about Tiberius's busted legs. He thought about the fact that he had basically no way to fight back against this thing. A thought entered his mind. He moved.

He cleared one table, hurtled his makeshift barricade, a sprinted toward the paper man. Reaching out from behind, he clasped his hands around Kyrse's curse laden one.

It was a simple thought that had spurned him. Zaubar is more useful than me...
