Billy stared at the crumpled stone wall that used to be the spider passage. He did not find anything. he ran his hand over the rubble. He did not find anything. He licked the rubble. He did not find anything. He smelled the rubble. Stone dust shot up his nose and sent him into a violent sneezing fit.
After settling down, Billy began to walk back and forth in front of the rubble in deep thought. Something had come out of the spider and flown down this way, through this pile of stone. Mr. Zaubar had explained that after the headmaster got done commending them. Billy didn't even want to consider that it was a ghost, but that sort of behavior was certainly ghost-like. But he had never heard anything about a ghost making something grow 12 times it size, not even in the most horrid possession stories he had read.
Billy was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice Tiberius until he had paced into him.
"Ooooo" Billy said, closing his eyes and rubbing his now throbbing temples. "I'm so sorry for that, I wasn't watching where I was...
MR. TIBERIUS! I am so sorry I destroyed your book. Where are you going? Are you carrying that bag? I could carry it for you, that would be literally the least I could do in payment."
Hey son, wanna' learn how ta' make witch balls?
