Which story?
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

It's a new one...don't know if you'll like it. A boy is visited by an angel. Can't give away much more without spoiling the story. It's gonna be pretty short.

o,o This, apparently, was an idea for some series someone was going to make. A high school version of a certain superhero & villians. Guesssss whooooo. (And while you're at it, can you tell me who some of these people are?)

Left to right: (maybe) Clayface, Two-Face, Penguin, Solomon Grundy, Riddler, Batgirl, Batman, Man-Bat, Catwoman (notice the leopard print), Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Bane, Dr. Freeze

Hmmm..
Darn it you're good at this. I only knew half the names. That's the Scarecrow apparently, not Man-Bat. (I checked the website it was on)

Oh, yeah, that makes more sense...he IS more famous than Man-Bat. It shoulda been my first guess.
Anyways, ever find out why the series never kicked off?

Dunno.
It looks like it would have been vaguely interesting.

Yeah, at least vaguely...
Fortunately, though, I've got http://www.snafu-comics.com to keep me comfy. And the various other webcomics I've found.

I have my books.
And various manga online. And webcomics. And a few forums. I'm arguing with someone on a debate forum now. I find them highly interesting. He seems to have glued several main regions together.. He pulls it off very well to, highly philosophical.

what debate are you involved in?

Several, so far.
But they all orbit around more or less the same thing.
He seems to take the thoughts on hell from Christianity and possibly Hinduism. Also reincarnation and several sub deities... I WOULD show you more of the debate.. ..But I'm not sure if you'll go blow up or not. You're kinda touchy about religious things.

I've already decided to detach myself from any emotional involvement regarding any religious debate with any of you, even if it were posed hypothetically.
Otherwise, I would tell you how idiotic his statement seemed. His basis is off and can only be true if Hell is a temporary place.

Might I point towards the word reincarnation?
He seems to be surprised now, that my arguments contradict themselves.. It's hard NOT to. He's made twenty something threads and they all overlap. Not to mention his religion had so many bits and pieces from others that I'm not really sure WHAT he thinks. How can I have a stable argument?

Normally, I'd agree with you about the reincarnation thing, because that sounds like what he believes. However, he believes also in hell, which is nowhere in the beliefs Buddhism or Hinduism as places of eternal torment/punishment.
That means that he's not either of those religions. But he's not Christian, either, because he doesn't think that Hell is permanent. In fact, his lack of infernal permanence made me think at first that he was Catholic, and that he was talking about Purgatory. But again, his thoughts about the afterlife don't really confirm that, either. My advice? The guy's just confused, and really isn't a worthy debate partner anyways. I'd just drop it if you don't get what he's saying. I mean, how could he be a worthy debate partner if he doesn't know what he believes? It'd be especially confusing if you planned on ever finding any definite answers for yourself.

Ever seen any oddly made powers?
I once read a book with a girl who could turn invisible. The way she did it though, was interesting. She could energize her molecules- this turned her into a "cloud" that was invisible. Of course.. a strong wind would be unpleasant. Her power also kind of started to turn on whenever she was excited or happy. That made her turn some-what cloudy.
