How close are Celadonian elves to generic DnD elves?

I was talking more along the lines of the fact that DnD elves don't sleep. Instead they trance, which takes less time and leaves them semi-aware of their surroundings. It also means they can't be induced to sleep.

The variant races are quite interesting.
For example, Jungle Gnomes live mostly in along rivers, or in floating boat-towns. They are good at climbing, swimming, making boats and using ropes. Or Desert elves. The live as nomads or merchants in large animal caravans. They prefer the scimitar and are less frail than their woodland cousins. Most of them have some skill with animals.
