if you say so. I'm considering offering a chance for everyone to come up with their own scenario for the next segment. I need more to fill out this things story line before I move on to things that are actually relative to the plot.

Not suddenly, perhaps through the power of a Meta. But basically buildings being used as massive golems to wreck the city.

By removing several of the carefully laid out buildins and changing their locations you unballance the city's delicate equalibruim causing it to tilt and there for descend.

We've already collapsed one building to start with and if that were true, the city could never build new builidngs without collapsing itself.

Yeah but if the buildings walked and all moved to one location the collective weight would probably tilt the city.

I see your point, if it was on a small scale, but instead of only a few hundred thousand pounds of difference, which is easily fixed, you'd have several dozen buildings each waying several million pounds stomping around the city, also seperating from the ground would cause mass power outages through the grid. Whatever physics, and sense has no purpose in fiction. so both our points are null and void.  The way that this all works can be easily changed to fit the needs of the current story, and when asked we can just do what all other story makers do and BS our way through.
