Re: Substitute Battle Arena

Celadon's Penultimate

Why the devil would my sig-poem depict me as being HAPPY in any way?

It's about NOT being happy. In fact, unhappiness/anger/frustration/rage is the entire point of that spur-of-moment sig-poem...
“…Judge not what a man has done, but judge what he could have done if he was a different bloke altogether. For art thou a leper? And a leper can changeth his spots…”   --Rudy Wade, Misfits (Series 4, Episode 8)

Re: Substitute Battle Arena

jester_of_god
memmories of happiness are as fuel for rage and will cause the burn of betrayal to produce an even darker flam through which you may destroy your enemies in the unholy fire of thine wrath.......eh whatever.
Welcome one and All to the Jesters Carnival, where the prizes are greater than your wildest dreams, but the nightmares here shall silence you before you can even scream.

Hence the second line of the second stanza...

Just thought I should do the thread justice.

End on topic.

Substitute Battle Arena is nearly at its thousandth post. Almost time to lock this sucker down permanently.

CURSES! My last post was foiled! The thread has no true conclusion!!!!

Oh, wait, now it does.

And so with this, the announced impending doom of the universe, Wish, Philote, Zale, Jester, 667, Vespert, Myself, WHD, Marvelous Miscreant, Spydyr and Bug10000 (even JUSTIN) all follow me to Celadon, realizing that all this battling and warfare was pointless and useless (although most of them likely realized this way before I did anyway); they will start lives that are the equivalent of a combination of the adventures in Narnia/ Wonderland/ the world of D&D.

Soupster? He's in Celadon, too, working as a really successful musician, philosopher and preacher/evangelist (not the crazy kind, don't worry...); and Neo and Greenday have moved to New Atlantis, which has been made into an entire planet of its own (just like Marvelous Miscreant's land, Kethencia), with the occasional visit to Celadon. For some reason, they still keep contact with Kyst and the Kystians, but now, those band of creeps pose no threat, as Kyst and I have come to a compromise; they steer clear of Celadon unless they get clearance (the Kystians, not Neo and GreenDay).

And Dryad? Well, what else? She came to Celadon, too, when she realized she could live here with all the nymphs (especially the dryads, who welcome her with open arms, even gifting her a portion of their powers, to ensure the forests' greater good).

Alex finally managed to meet up with Myself in person. The two hit it off beautifully, and because I (as Penultimate) now have the ability to give folks powers, I let Myself have a few of his capabilities from the Superpowerlist (along with all my other buddies). That means Alex finally ended up getting Omnipotence, Omniscience and Omnipresence (though luckily, its only functional in the Personal Realm Myself gave him; otherwise, though, that personal realm exactly resembles the Earth we leave behind).

And...the newbies to the Superpowerlist? What happens to them, you ask? Well, they're given the choice to make homes here, or on different planets (of their own choice, or their own making), same as the old veterans with whom I'm a little less familiar (I don't know them, but it doesn't mean I leave them out in the cold).

The families of all the invited members are transported to the lands of their relatives as well, and all of their most prized possessions, including pets. Everyone who has accepted my invitation is given the home of their choice, in the land of their choice. And with one last look back at Earth for everybody, before Jester alerts us that the thing is about to go "ka-blooie".

It seems such a shame, but neither Rhiolo, the B***h, Braoheihei, Mon, or the more wicked residents of Kyst and the World of D&D give a crap about, it. They combine their powers to lay waste to the entire thing. Good thing we've all jaunted, and are watching this from afar. The blast was right where the core of the Earth used to be.

"All right, now, boys and girls, ladies and gentleman!" I look back from the dimensional window, back to everybody who's attending my little 'End-of-the-world-watching party', "I think all of your things have been moved into your homes, and your servants have been made aware of your arrival. NOW! Who wants cookies?"

"And bagels?" Spydyr asks.

"And bacon?" WHD asks.

"And vegetarian loaf?" Dryad asks.

"And soup?" Soupster asks.

"And pie?" Vespert asks.

I assure them that, yes, all their favorites have been prepared in advanced. Yes...

There would definitely be pie. Even though the baddies have overtaken the previous universe we occupied, and are currently wreaking havoc, perhaps for all the rest of eternity...there will be pie.

THE END.
