Definitely. I'd make an awesome reality bender, and hopefully a better Penultimate than I'd even imagined. First power I'd try out is Quantakinesis.

Any negative effects of New Beginning could be easily reversed.

Well, I get what you're saying.

I just kinda want to know what it would feel like.

And as for the last part:

WHD wrote
(Question: could I have said "a sign of a self-righteous attitude on/of my person", with the same meaning?).
No, the meaning would have changed. The phrase 'on your person' implies some kind of object (Ex: "He has a knife somewhere on his person; check his pockets."). You got it right when you said, 'on my part'.

Yeah, 'of my person' seems awkward.

As for New Beginning, it would be way fun to see those things play out, to be honest. Much as I like order and function and wholesome good fun, I think the occasional chaos is rather fun, too. Not to mention, we have power to reverse anything potentially negative, so...

 Good.
I really have an extensive English vocabulary, but the longer I go without actively using it (study/work), the more I doubt about meanings and validity/existence of certain words/phrases.
Don't worry; your English is so good that I (and likely many others here) often forget it isn't your first language.

I think that "in reality" we'd simply improve our own lives with such abilities.

I think I would try to improve lives in the most subtle and wide ranging ways possible.

Altering the climate and weather systems would be a start.

Certainly keeping folks from devastating weather, yes.

I mean, allowing them to happen still, but maybe try to divert their paths, for minimal damage.

I mean changing the climate to produce optimal results.

Ending drought, killing devastating weather, correcting global warming.

I mean, Hurricanes only exist due to a build up of energy. My NB self could easily convert that into electrical power for power-hungry areas.

Messing with the natural order on such a scale, to such dramatic effect?

I simply don't see the need.

That, I believe, would be more prudent.

For the most part, we should keep things simple and subtle. And any drastic changes we make should be only temporary, or if they're permanent, they should either be neutral or beneficial to the world.

For example, bringing back the polar ice caps. Or letting food grow on trees.

The natural state is not always the best.

It would save countless lives. That is the need.

I'm not suggesting clumsily banging the weather systems into niceness. My NB self would be able to direct each individual breeze with all the skill of a master surgeon. I would not allow anything nasty to build up. I'm not some moron who thinks that they can shove nature around. I'm nudging it into a less lethal direction.

Working toward a world devoid of bad weather?

A world void of hurricanes and tornadoes.

People will have to live with thunderstorms and rain.
