Hm.

Well, like I said to Myself, I seem to have some sense of psychology. Most knowledge I've gained about it, I already knew about it beforehand. I seem to have a way with words, and it's been that way since I was young. I'm especially sensitive to people's emotions and intentions.

It's not spot-on like my mother's feelings but it's enough to get a lot of people to confide really deep, dark stuff about themselves, when most people would wait much longer to reveal such things.

Like people reveal within a first or second conversation their various personal problems, or that they've been molested, or that they're 'in the closet', or that they're attracted to me, or that their family is into witchcraft, or their sexual fetishes...It would get uncomfortable, if only I wasn't distracted with fascination by the ease of their revelations.

Strangely, it's mostly people whose names I never remember.

Not at all.  As long as I understand.

It really would be nice to develop superhuman powers, though, I think.

As I was telling Myself, if they ever do manifest, I'd kinda like to see who the first revealed super would be.

Sometimes I post a topic and I later cringe to think I made it. Until recently, this was an excellent example.

 Marvel had it right all along. Shoulda known.

Though, I do hope the first revealed super is a passive one. A precog, or a weak-level spoon-bender. Even some yogi capable of superhuman feats through meditation. A Chronicle style super, the world couldn't handle right now.

Still, though. The social implications would definitely be dynamic.

The criminal justice system would get way more dangerous...and probably more fun.

It occurs to me that if New Beginning were to happen as it stands today. I would not necessarily be imbued with superpowers....instead my alter ego would be created in my stead to assume the mantle of the marvelous miscreant.

 That was the plan all along. The only diff is we used our powers to write our backstories into the timeline, thus retroactively giving ourselves powers.
