Don't like DM/GMing?

No, I love it usually....I just hate dealing with upstarts like Jester. The last few hours have crushed the joy I once felt as a GM. I know you're the GM for the Fantasy RP and I should leave it to you, but he just irks me so much.

Hmmm..

I'm humming that now.

I only get annoyed by certain things.

Jester isn't pushing any of those buttons, so I'm fine.

At least you're level headed enough to deal with him. I've given up.

Me?

Level-Headed?

I'm glad I wasn't drinking tea or anything. I would have had to replace my keyboard.

Let's just say you're more equipped to handle his stubbornness than I am.

You just take things too seriously, Marv. Honestly.

And you seem to take defense especially against him.

The two of you take different approaches, and you have to learn to work with him. Because, for the foreseeable future, neither of you are going anywhere. We've got to stay on easy speaking terms, otherwise, anytime one of you joins an RP, we'll CONSTANTLY have to hope the other doesn't join, for fear of another pointless outbreak of bickering.

Me and Wulf have learned to work around the.. er.. Religion thing that came up every so often before.

SO Marv and Jester can learn to get along!

 Then get equipped!

Srsly, you two have been at this since the two of you arrived!

I mean if me and Zale can resolve our differences (based on RELIGIOUS PHILOSOPHY, mind you), then certainly the two of you can resolve your different perspectives of superhuman abilities, and roleplaying.

Do I take offense at his bickering?...yes. And that is one of my faults and I will work on it with your help. But he is not so squeaky clean himself. He needs to stop bickering with authority and acting like he knows everything.

So yes, we need both have things to work on.

It goes deeper than that. He apparently thinks I;m out to get him (because of something I said a long time ago) and takes this to heart. He deliberately argues with me on everything and refuses to acknowledge anything I say as viable.

I'm not saying I;m not a fault since I do argue back and I have a short temper when it comes to his antics, but no matter what I do I can't get through to him.

Marvelous, the point here is not to defend Jester. I'm all too aware of his flaws. He is stubborn, and often has eccentric, convoluted reasons as to why he is right in any argument/debate he gets into. He gets offended easily sometimes, and shares our collective RPer issue of not being able to discern emotion and intentions over the internet.

The point is not to make either of you right or wrong. It's simply to create a harmonious environment, where different perspectives can survive, thrive, and coexist. For the most part, in peace.

I've tried reasoning with him, I've tried bargaining with him, I've even tried letting him get it all off his chest and laying into me with any resentment he may have.......and nothing,, zip, nadda. All failures. He continues to refuse to listen to me on any subject. So, if you wanna suggest something, be my guest. I'm at my wits end.

I don;t like arguing, I don;t like being pissed at him, I don;t like him dismissing everything I say. I'd love to just get along, but that's a two way street and he won't budge.

Then don't try to get through to him!

If you find that he's doing something that bothers you, more than likely, it will bother others, too. I know because it's happened in the past. Just wait for one of us to point out his error in judgment, and we can take care of it. And by we, I mean me. I'm typically the best at defusing situations (not to toot my own horn), and I've given up, for the most part, on letting my emotions get in the way of rash judgment on the forum.

Just hold your peace. Because you know how it always ends. If you find that your solution does not yield points on the test...my experience tells me that the answer will still be wrong on the NEXT test. So...just give it a try; bide your time, and move on to other things, which WON'T bother you, distress you, anger you, or bother you unnecessarily.

An element of Understanding could help.

I would like for all my friends to get along.

I don't want a repeat of having someone leave.
