[Celadon's Penultimate]

"I'm beginning to not like my switch-power at the moment." I say, as I dodge a powerful paw swipe from the two-headed canine aberration of nature. I pull out knives, and dodge it to the best of my ability to stab what I hope will be a weak spot.

Through it's wild and manic motions, I finally get through his missed swipes and attempts to bite me, and find an opening for me to stab him in the chest. I lunge forward with all my strength...

[Philote]

The knife plunges deep into the monster's chest, but it barely even notices, and pushes wulf back as if it was never hurt.

Next to us, the end of a knife pokes out of the soil on the path we are on.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"What the--?" The creature smacks the rest of the sentence out of my mouth, sending me flying past the others. I land in a three point crouch, and leap back into the fray, hoping whoever gets my powers knows how to use them.

[Philote]

I attack again and hit it with a slash of wind on its back, and again the beast ignores it. Meanwhile, a cut appears on the upper right arm of Wulf.

"Why aren't we able to do anything to it!" I yell.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"OW!" I cry out, pained. I pick up a knife with the hurt arm to throw another throwing knife, and accidentally throw it into a tree alongside the path.

The creature cries out angrily, and slaps me to the side yet again, before leaping toward the others again.

[Philote]

I notice that the beast has finally been hurt. "How did you do that." I yell at Wulf.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Don't know, but I like it!" I call back, kicking a tree.

[Philote]

I spot the end of the knife sticking out of the path, and make the connection with the knife sticking into the beasts chest.

I try to get to the spot the knife is poking out of, but the beast blocks my path and knocks me back.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

I take another knife and drive it into a fallen log, dragging it down the bark in a jagged scar.

[Philote]

A similar scar traces itself across the ground, and catches the beast across its foot, causing it to fall to its knees for a moment.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Indeed."

I drop to the ground, and begin randomly stabbing the ground...

[Philote]

A couple stabs hits the beast, but one slices the bottom of my foot.

"Not everything is connected to the beast!" I yell at Wulf "Watch what you're stabbing!"

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 "Oh, right...hehe, sorry..."

I go back to kicking and slashing and slicing and stomping everything in sight.

[Philote]

I make my way over to wulf and point him in the direction of the first blade he threw, lying behind the beast. "That spot is connected to the area of its heart, use your skills to get over to it before you accidentally kill someone with your stabbing."

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 "Aye, aye!"

I bound through the fray, dodging the monster's attacks, and getting in a few of my own. Finally, I backflip over his head, cartwheel, and tumble past the others fighting him, and grab the dagger I first threw.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

I jab it in deeper than before, then pull it up and begin stabbing that spot repeatedly to see what it will do to the beast.

[Philote]

The beast screams from both heads, and then staggers forward before falling over dead.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 "May he rest in peace."

[Philote]

"Shall we move forward? I believe we were trying to figure out why we kept coming back to the same area."

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Yeah..." I trudge to the head of the group, nursing my hurt arm.
