If not, you should. It's an interesting thought exercise.

Thought exercise? It's just a reiteration of basic characteristics of a character I've already created.

It does allow you to go in somewhat greater detail, though.

Philote

I've been working on a timeline for my character as well as updating his character sheet with items he did not have the last time he posted one.

It is just a mess of notes at the moment though.

While laying out my timeline, I found out something interesting about one of the things I created. At one point, Philote and his team discover this "Ark" that enables them to leave Aeon for the first time, but I never described more about the Ark. So instead of editing part of my past, I've decided that Philote's next story arc is him trying to find the source of it.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Re: ...Power basis.

Gentleman Vaultboy
My character isn't actually a reality warper. He's a vault. Literally a vault that got up and left one day. So, I guess the basis of his power is the ability to access everything he posses at any time. He just happens to have a whole lot of things. Including people, weapons, gods, worlds, time periods, natural phenomenon, ships, ideas, time, other, etc. etc.

Re: ...Power basis.

Gentleman Vaultboy
Like a massive vault (seriously, Scrooge McDuck sized) designed to protect the riches of one of the biggest interstellar empires to ever be, built specifically to keep absolutely everything out. Effectively a pocket dimension to store their conquest swag that not even time could breach. Eventually, like all empires, it fell to ruin leaving only the vault containing the combined treasures and culture of millions of worlds, plus the last remaining member of the race that built it. Over time armies, adventuring parties, and the like tried to break into the vault to get at the treasure. Eventually, it gained a sort of mythic status.

Being Mythic has some odd side effects. For example, it gives inanimate objects a sort of life of their own. So, the vault became alive, got bored, decided to "use" the form of the young prince inside of it and set out into the universe. It's been exploring and collecting things ever since.

Philote's Power Basis

Philote
Administrator
This post was updated on .
The timeline at the end is going to be hard to understand I bet, I only have it written as notes for myself at this point and only listed the major events.

Philote wrote
Philote: Data Manipulator
Home World: Aeon. Its star is similar to VY Canis Majoris and it has the same planet to star size ratio as Earth.
Race: Correnian: Much like humans, but without limits to what their stats can reach.

Items:
Core: Reality bending organ that gives me my control over Philotes. Sphere inside my chest but I can stream energy from it to form wings.
Ten Gates: Gates that are a part of my core that are connected to a personal version of the elemental planes. Can be opened and closed to release power.
Halo: My true sword, made of blank Philotes.
Eyes: There is a ring on the inner and outer part of my iris. The outer locates Philotes and the inner decodes them.
Prime Elemental’s Energy: The three Prime Elementals whose bodies formed the heavenly bodies of my realm. I absorbed their lost energies which became the fuel for my Ultimate Overdrives.
Guardian Gates: Guardian I command that protect and represent the powers from different realities. The Guardian for Aeon acts as a second intellect to manage my powers.
SPL Pseudo Cores: Fake Cores developed to operate the bodies I use for my adventures with the SPL members.
Sol’s Matrix: After recombining with Sol, my body has become a matrix of Sol’s copied Cores.
Labyrinth Virus: A reality bending virus I developed. Whatever it comes into contact with has its data expanded as a labyrinth until it is its own dimension. A limit is used to focus the power.

Ultimate Overdrives:
1. Paradiso: Combines holy energy and the energy from the bonds with my allies over my sword Halo.
2. Death: I can encode something with Death, this acts like a kill command for all the Philotes in an object system, erasing an objects data.
3. Unknown Element: Also known as Gold Element. I create a substance that holds ever changing Data so that it can be anything at any time. I form it into a dragon to attack foes.
4. Data Beam: I open my core and send out a single charged beam of a certain data.
5. Elemental Armageddon: Creates ten spheres of condensed energy from the Elemental Planes that warp what they pass through.
6. Singularity: I compress the data of a new reality into a single Philote then release the energy.
7. Elemental Infusion: I infuse an object with a particular element or theme, overlaying it and causing it to damage itself. This results in something that is easier to manipulate.
8. Elemental Perception: I perceive the world as only one element, allowing me to affect things as if it were that element, and having things only affect me as if they were that element.

Ultimate Form:
My core opens, making my wings more prominent and the rings in my core and on my eye more noticeable. My Skin turns pure white / silvery. My clothes turn black. My eyes get a gold shine. An aura of my Core / Ten Gates forms as a sphere around me.

Philote’s Timeline:

1. First three elementals are created, the World-Tree, the Dragon, and the Crystal-Woman
2. The World-Tree and the Dragon war over the Crystal-Woman and are imprisoned as the three major celestial bodies of the realm. Aeon (World-Tree), Sun (Dragon), Crystal-Woman(Moon)
3. Ark is built
4. Life begins on Aeon.
5. The brother rulers “Space” and “Direction” are betrayed and imprisoned by their adviser “Mummy” in a coffin-satellite.
6. Philote is born on a spot on Aeon under the Crystal moon and above the largest branch of the World-Tree elemental in the planet's core.
7. Philote discovers powers and first Overdrive “Fire Mastery” when life is threatened in ally. Adopts the name Element.
8. Symbiotes attack Philote’s hometown but are exterminated.
9. Government captures and imprisons Philote
10. Philote and other Core Users escape, including Leech and Soul.
11. Philote forms team with other Core Users to recruit more Core Users before they are corrupted by Soul.
12. Effects of Correnite is discovered and is used by both Core Users and Government.
13. Soul is defeated and his corruption is passed onto Leech. Soul joins Philote’s team as one of its main members.
14. Government recaptures several of Philote’s main team leading to a battle where the government is overturned. Philote and his team become recognized heroes of the town.
15. Leech’s corruption is revealed. Philote’s team absorbs sacred pieces of Correnite, changing their powers, to chase after him and combat him. First form of Philote’s sword, Halo, is obtained.
16. Philote and his team chase leech across a section of the world, deal with the chaos he creates, and learn of his destination, the ark.
17. “Direction” is freed from his imprisonment and immediately revives his stronger brother “Space.” Both are dealt with by the group.
18. Leech is defeated as both groups reach the location of the ark, but he absorbs Psy and uses her power, as well as the corruption’s power, to escape off Aeon.
19. Philote’s team, now in control of the ark, uses it to escape into space to chase after Leech.
20. Philote’s team’s power furthers as a result of riding the ark into space and the group leaves their physical bodies for spirit ones. The rings on Philotes eyes form.
21. The ark passes through the realm’s gate and enters Haven.
22. Leech releases the Uncreation from its prison within one of the gates in Haven.
23. Philote and his team split up to remove Leech’s and Uncreation’s influence in the other Gates/Realms.
24. Philote battle’s Leech as he corrupts Aeon and releases his first Major Overdrive “Elemental Armageddon” which results in the defeat of Leech and an explosion that destroys Aeon.
25. The remnants of the Prime Elementals begin to awake as a result of the explosion.
26. The World Tree Elemental’s consciousness guides Philote to defeat the remnants and absorb their power so that the three Prime Elementals can rest.
27. The World Tree Elemental’s last act is to restore Aeon to a state before Leech’s influence and Philote and a restored Psy return to Haven.
28. With Philote’s power enhanced, he makes a last stand against the Uncreation at Haven and ultimately defeats it. Final form of Philote’s sword, Halo, is obtained.
29. As a result of the battle, Sol is born from the torrent of released energies from Philote.
30. Sol attempts to take control of all realities by building a matrix from the Gates of Haven.
31. Philote takes control of the Gates himself and defeats Sol, who disappears.
32. “Invincible,” a Core User who survived through Aeon’s destruction and recreation, challenges Philote to match. Philote expands his Data Manipulation and creates his Elemental Infusion Ultimate Overdrive.
33. Philote discovers the SPL Universe and Aeon’s reality ultimately merges with it, along with the realities of several other powerful beings.
34. As a representative of his universe, Philote goes on several adventures with the other SPL members.
35. A creature, known as “The Hunger,” attacks both Haven and Aeon and becomes the first creature to steal a Core.
36. “The Hunger” is defeated with the help of the SPL members and Philote’s development of his most powerful Overdrive, Paradiso.
37. Sol returns and Philote recombines with him after discovering more about his own powers, resulting in Philote evolving past all other Core Users.
38. Leech’s Core is reincarnated into a new Correnian and the Uncreation is born as an actual creature as well, a female Correnian.
39. Philote develops the Labyrinth Virus and uses it to evolve his powers even further.
40. Philote seeks information about the Ark….
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
