 Riiiiiight. In a world where supernatural creatures run wild, with amazing elemental powers, that can be harnessed by Asian-based non-Asian people, using mechanical capture-spheres that can hold said supernatural creatures at the molecular level. In a world where the capture of said creatures, and development of a relationship with said creature, allows you to eventually understand the language that creature speaks. In a world that was formed wholly by the predecessors of those same creatures, and where the descendants of said Ancients are, many times, capable of evolution into yet MORE powerful beings, in the evolutionary equivalent of a microsecond...
You think that a freaking prepubescent boy running a facility that challenges and trains said creatures is odd?
