Awww.Well then we could utilize a cloaking mechanism to hide Earth's heat and the moon's reflection while causing a large heat source to appear farther off. We could create a bacterium that breeds rapidly and discharges a biodegradable substance that retains and hides heat. It could float to the upper atmosphere and come back down dissolving. As for the moon we could try creating large nodes containing a scale-like nano-material that absorbs light. It could also be directed by a magnetic current so that when the nodes exploded they would be attracted to the moon's surface and spread out in an even covering.The magnetic field would have the bonus of being reversed or redirected to strip off the material which could be immolated in the sun. The magnetic field would either be generated by large electromagnets connected to wires running under the surface of the moon or by a semi-metalic material spread on the moon that would have an electric current run through it. A missle with hydrogen and helium could be launched away from Earth and ignited to draw them to another heat source.
