In Shadowulf1's palace, I am alarmed when I discover the inhabitants of Celadon being struck by a horrible plague. I put up infection defenses, since the plague kills most and leaves most of the survivors normal humans -no magic, no powers, no mythical creatures. It appears to be airborne, but I'll need to do some research.
I teleport to a distant location on Celadon, then use Construction Zone to make a research and treatment center in an isolated area. Inside, I project a Research Zone, create biohazard suits (with Construction Zone) and use Teleportation Imbuing (through Author Power Mimicry) to make portals from around Celadon leading to this base. These allow me to send in research and containment teams to infected areas, as well as the infected to appear at the base if sick, along with the best researchers available. I finally connect this to the teleporter network, but with a warning describing the dangers and the portal keeps infected inside by detecting the plague and deactivating itself, so they cannot use it. Things I have already discovered about this plague: 1) It is immutable, so it cannot be cured with reality warping. 2) It is immune to the effects of powers, so we are vulnerable. 3) It is very fast adapting -it can handle to immune systems of most inhabitants of Celadon. 4) The dead come back as zombies, infecting more people. This leads me to believe this is the act of a superhuman, mage, alchemist or something similarly supernatural. It could also have sevearal strains. Luckily, I have developed an effective vaccine against one form of the disease, which affects 20% of the infected. Watch for coughing, sneezing, insects, rodents and other possible vectors.

That is, unless some jerk recreates it or it adapts out of our control. In the meantime, I project a Medical Zone as well to treat the symptoms (the disease is immune to powers, not the symptoms) and slow down the disease.
Thanks for the backup, but if you're going to work around this thing, take the vaccine to prevent the strain it treats, gain limited immunity to other strains and provide useful data on the disease.

Okay, I have one suspect so far: EverBlade. He got his powers in the empowering event too and is angry you blocked him from this site, so he decided to ruin you planet and kill most of the inhabitants. How he did it, I have no idea -he probably teamed up with some rebel wizards or alchemists of yours.

WHD and I have Magic Consumption directly, but it doesn't help here -the plague may have been altered by magic, but isn't magic itself. I need to do some more research on the disease.
