I walk through the streets and look for a shop where they sell advanced technological weapons with magic. Hmm, fascinating, it appears to be powered by magic storing and conversion batteries and uses alchemical ammo, I say as I eye a magic/technology gun. I wonder how the others are doing.

I know what Ragnarok is (duh, been studying mythology since 5th grade), I just didn't know the other stuff...

I figured you did.

If you had not know, I think I would have gone into shock.

As would I, considering that Norse mythology was the third pantheon I looked into (after Greek, then briefly in Roman)

Yeah. Never really looked into Romans though. Seemed very similar to just the Greeks mythos.

Precisely why my research of them was the most scattered, and least diligent.

The only real differences I see are rather minor.

Like Minerva seems more.. cerebral and passive than Athena.

Not more intelligent, but less focused on warfare.

Tinia is the ecrustian sky god. His name is one letter away from being Tina.

Not exactly the most intimidating name.

There's also Menvra. The early Etruscan form of Minerva

Except with lightning!

Yeah, the Etruscans were simply more interesting than Rome, even though the Romans' civilization supposedly preceded theirs. They even had a separate goddess for horses. Epona.

It also appears that the Romans transferred Athena's war duties to Juno, of all people.

...

I imagined Hera as a war goddess.

Considering her vindictive nature... That would be very scary if you were on the wrong side.

I'm wherever you guys are. And Julie does not bother me. She tries anything, and I will simply substitute myself, Shadow-Clone jutsu style.

Which is why she's best as a goddess of motherly instinct and womanly wiles. They already had warlike Ares, bloodthirsty Enyo, instigating Eris and plenty of other war-deities.

Hera was simply better to represent the fierceness of womanhood--a vindictive wife who punishes a cheating husband (as well as any mistresses and illegitimate kids), and is extremely protective over her kids...
