New Beginning 21: Awesomeness Revisited

A woman sits on a throne.

A rather young woman, dressed in fashionable if conservative clothing. Everything about her seems pale. Porcelain skin, white-blond hair, pale blue eyes- even her clothing is in pastel shades of blue and white.

She lounges on a throne of ice,  carved in patterns that seem to shift. Images of strange and arcane things seem to lurk there, but for a moment before vanishing.

"Ah. Guests. Who are you?"

[Zaleramancer]

A loud and resonating roar ripples through the forest, shaking the very earth. All of the animal cries go silent.

Something sleek and green think leaps from above to land on Philote.

[Philote]

Wind ripples around my skin as I try to throw the creature off.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

"I am the Archdruid Knotwood, here to see Zaleramancer."

Mayumi: "I am Mistress' servant, acompanying her."

Kiki: "And I'm Kiki, a Hôseki-Kizuato. Peased to meetcha."

[Zaleramancer]

It lands on the ground with a thump, some sort of strange human-plant being with green skin and leaf-like hair.

Wincing, it seems to be panickedly gesturing at Phi, pointing towards the ground and shaking it's head.

[Zaleramancer]

"I am Rebbeca. Known as the Snow Queen, Frost Sorceress, Empress of the Unchanging, Bane of the Fae, Camlian, etc.."

She shifts slightly.

"I've never heard of Hôseki-Kizuato before.  Perhaps you could tell me more of your people, Kiki."

[Philote]

I lift it off the ground with some air manipulation. "Alright, calm down, whats going on?"

[Zaleramancer]

Another roar rips through the forest, this time even louder.

The plant-person is still gesturing pleadingly, shaking it's head and motioning at Phi and then the ground.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Kiki: "There's very little my race tells others of ourselves unless we trust them. All I'm willing to tell you is that the crystals on my chest and forehead give me great powers, but respond to no one, but me. You'll find that to be the same for the crystals of all Hôseki-Kizuato."

[Zaleramancer]

Rebbeca frowns.

"That is a shame. I was hoping you would be at least somewhat interesting."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

"Sorry to interrupt, but we do need to get through to see Zale."

Kiki: "Oops, forgot about that."

[Zaleramancer]

"Oh decisions, decisions. I could help you and get out of here, since I was trapped by the creature that is attempting to overthrow Zale.. "

Her eyes glinted and she smiled slightly.

".. On the other hand, I remain curious. I could simply murder you all and then rip the information I desire from your cooling grey matter. I'm certain that your other companions could likely defeat the invader."

 

[Celadon's Penultimate]

I turn into Wulf, and fly off after Phi.

[Zaleramancer]

Once again, the earthshakes with a roar. Whatever it is is almost on top of you.

[Zaleramancer]

(Oh, And everyone. There was a sixth door on the wall behind the box, out of sight. It lead directly to where you were supposed to go. Think outside the box, heh.)

 I speed up, hoping to bypass whatever monster thingy is after me.

( Indeed!)

[Zaleramancer]

The plant-person looks at both of you with obvious anger and makes several rude gestures before diving into a nearby tree and vanishing.

A distant sound of crashing trees and suddenly silenced animal cries begins to appear behind Wulf and Phi.

"Whatever you decide, we will not attack you unless you attack first, but if you do attack, retaliation will be swift and brutal."
