Id was unable to budge, though his heads slowly rotated. Fire, Water, Lightning and Sound sprayed from them towards Mayumi.

Ego merely sweeps to the side, matching Miki's speed. He allows her to fly past, taking the opportunity to get in a side-strike.

Superego pulls the plants around her, calling up a memory of a far distant world of fire. The plants change, becoming unlike earthly plants. Dark with purple leaves, and a wholly fireproof. Dragon-Vine it was.

These plants once again lunge.

Mayumi ignores the sound waves, she'd fought Mika too many times to worry about her hearing, but moves out of the way of the other attacks before materializing a katana. It had been some time since she'd last used her Soulsword.

Miki gets knocked back a little by the sideswipe, but comes right back at Ego quickly.

Matsuri notes the vines' apparent immunity to flames before switching themes from ZKC to Yureka. This theme was fun since it allowed multi-classing, hacking and virtual (digital) copies of personality. She then copies several more classes for variety and power before activating Blade Storm to rip the vines to shreds.

[Zaleramancer]

"Greetings." A young girl appeared, dressed like an old gypsy fortune-teller; she held a savage looking wolf-dog by a leash. "We are merely watchers, currently. We hope to avoid conflict."

The girl took a seat on some rubble, watching Id and Mayumi.

Id glanced at her with one head, then send a spout of smoke and fire towards Mayumi with the other.


A short woman with a motherly air and a young man listening to music stood across from Ego and Miki, watching.

Ego raised an eyebrow, then continued to attack and dodge. He moved with evident practice and grace.


Behind the rapidly vanishing mass of vines, two men appeared, one in a lab-coat and another dressed in white robes. They too watched a fight, between Superego and Matsuri.

Superego called out to them in some strange tongue, and they responded. She seemed put off by the reply.

The woman clapped her hands together and the ground rumbled. Once again the plants transformed, taking on the aspects of hardy Ironwood.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 "I die at the hands of an angry god???" The Penultimate begins, in his most convincing Droopy accent, "Oh, heavens me! What ever shall I do??? Little old me, the mortal Penultimate??? Oh, hey, I know. How's about I let you pick on somebody your own size?"



The Penultimate raises his hands upward (or his relative version of up, due to being in outer space), and a portal opens.

"WHAT THE HECK DO YOU WANT?!" Comes a booming voice.

"DID SOMEBODY CALL ME?" A second voice comes.

"CAN I HELP YOU?" A third voice follows.

Out from the portal descend Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.

The Penultimate looks over to the three trickster gods, "Yeah, these guys said your tunics look like girly dresses."

The Penultimate then heads back to Celadon to repair the planet.

(You wanna send gods to hurt me...I can do the same, no problem. )

Mayumi keeps one eye on the newcomers, just in case, as she cries out, "Crush, Gravity." The katana in her hand glows before shifting into a bo staff. Mayumi then shifts the gravitational forces to crush Id into a sphere with 10 times the force from before as she forms a shield of air between her and the attacks from Id (Gravity used to crush air into a clear, but highly dense shield).

Miki forms a katana in her hand, now to counter Ego with her own swordfighting.

Matsuri activates now 'Claws of Darkness' (Monsterking), 'Flames of Darkness' (Monsterking), and 'Legendary Blade' (Blade Dancer). An armor of shadows forms around Matsuri as she pulls a broadsword from the ground and black flames appear around her. The flames then go flying towards Superego as Matsuri grins.

A small shape zooms away from the Penultimate. It grows and changes..

A hand taps Zeus on the shoulder. A delicate, female hand. Behind him stands, or floats, a raven haired beauty. She smiles.


Spider charges Poseidon, roaring angrily.

Coyote watches Hades. Nodding his head in acknowledgement.

[Zaleramancer]

Id's assault bounces off, and he begins to shrink slightly. He stops attacking, evidently diverting power to keep from being crushed.

Ego smiled, he would enjoy this. His sword danced for Miki.

He had, after all, been trained by one of the best and most brutal.

An aura appeared around Superego, stretching upwards in the shape of a tree. A voice seemed to call from it..

"Help me, Children."

Far away, in a place removed from this time and space, a call returned.

Mother..

From no where, plants appeared, springing from the ground and air. Exotic and strange, they diverted and stopped the attack, though it cost them their lives. Some of the plants warped their shapes, taking humanoid forms.

All attacked the fool that tried to harm their mother, keeper of the Garden.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

Zeus turns, and his face softens. He asks, confused, what the female's name is.

Hades remains stationary. Surely, the Penultimate must have called him for something, but until he tells the gloomy god what that something is, he's just fine sitting there. He invites Coyote to a game of chess to pass the time.

Poseidon summons his trident, and zooms toward Spider, his eyes flashing like a lightning cloud during a storm.

Meanwhile, back near where Celadon once lay...

 "You just don't give up, do you?" The Penultimate grumbles, watching the small shape afar off in the distance, "Well, all I know is they'd better leave my planet alone, those aren't the only gods I have on speed-dial."

Mayumi continues with crushing Id, hoping to end this quickly.

Miki fights with a style befitting her invulnerability. She blocks no blows, only attacking as much as possible. Her clothes would get shredded sure, but her body would take no harm.

Matsuri raises the blade she pulled up from the ground, the 'Hino Tamashii.' It ignites with blue-white flames as Matsuri forms more black flames around herself before throwing the black flames at Superego and charging at the 'Children.' The black flames from earlier continue spreading from the bodies of the 'Children' they've already lit on fire.

[Zaleramancer]

"Raven, for my hair." She said charmingly, leaning forward to whisper in his ear.

Coyote enjoys games, and lays down to try a paw at this chess.

Spider makes a sound like an avalanche and launches himself at the sea god, legs extended.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

Zeus is enticed by this new, strange lady. He leans in with a mischievous smile, before...

"ZEUS!"

Another portal opens above Zeus, and from it descends Hera. Zeus recoils in horror.

"ZEUS!" she repeats, "JUST WHAT IN THE DEPTHS OF DAMNATION AND PERDITION DO YOU THINK YOU'RE UP TO?!"

She reaches into invisible space, and when she yanks back, she seems to have grabbed a young-looking girl by her hair. The goddess Ate would not escape easily. She would be dealt with too.

"I'll handle YOU later." She let the girl go, and she disappeared back to the courts of Olympus, before Hera returned her glance to Zeus, "And Zeus, where are your manners? Introduce me to your new friend."

As Hera menaces Zeus and this mysterious girl, Poseidon's war cry roars like the crash of the waters on the shore, as his trident ripples with divine power. He and Spider collide hatefully, sending waves of divine energy all about as they pound one another in combat.

And as all that chaos ensues, Hades moves a pawn. He then clasps his hands together and awaits Coyote's move.

[Zaleramancer]

"Oh, dear. Tut tut. Someone's stamping on tradition." Raven conjured a book out of the air, and thumbed through it. "Greek Mythos... Zeus.. Seductions by.. Ah, here we are. Usually, Zeus arrives, sometimes in animal form, to seduce some mortal woman. Afterwards, Hera realizes and turns the poor thing's life into a living hell."

She smiles. "Of course, you didn't wait, Hera. Therefore, I may invoke my status as a trickster-god to, ahem, royally screw you over." She winks at Zeus, "And not in the fun way."

Raven pulls something that sparked and fizzed from her clothing. One of Zeus's lightning bolts.

"I'm a damn good pickpocket, too." Raven smiled gleefully, "EAT VOLTAGE, BIG GUY!"

Spider grapples with Poseidon, the element of earth fighting that of water. His brothers, sisters, children rise with him. Spiders begin to cover and bite the sea god.

Coyote stares intently at the board, then also moves forward a pawn, nudging it with his nose.  

[Celadon's Penultimate]

(This isn't Wrath of the Titans, the gods don't go down THAT easy... However, unfortunately, I have to go right now, and I can't respond...I'll respond later.)

[Zaleramancer]

Id's muscles rippled. He was still bearing the weight, just barely.

Ego retreats slightly, glancing over to the small woman. She nods, and Ego shrugs.

He pulls a grey cloth out and wipes his sword with it.

Superego looks slightly stricken by the sight. She waves a hand, and the children disappear.

She sighs, "We of the Nine are not warriors, save perhaps Ego and Id. Mentors, Advisers, Sages, Guides.. those are the roles we play. How cruel that we must fight with such that we would prefer to teach."

The fire of the attack sears her and she falls.

The pair behind her advance, the fires dying before them. They lift and carry her back.

[Zaleramancer]

(I ken. Raven has backup plans. He's not the strongest of the trio, but he is the most clever.)

Mayumi frowns, this was taking too long. She breathes in then says, "Release, Gravity Notsurugi." The bo staff warps into a naginata as it further amplifies the gravitational force Mayumi is using to crush Id by a factor of 10.

Miki darts forward to impale Ego on her katana.

Matsuri: "So then what was with that?" She looks over to where Miki and Mayumi are fighting Id and Ego and yawns. She'd help if needed but for now she was content with watching.

[Zaleramancer]

Id continues to dwindle, obviously putting forth every effort to stop the shrinkage.

With a smile Ego, dodged, striking Miki's blade. It began to feel somewhat heavier.

"If we could speak of it, we would tell you. Of course, as advisers, we are required to answer questions. Find the right one." Said the man in the lab coat.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Mayumi concentrates, before finally being ready to completely crush Id, "Ultimate Form, Mugen no Gravity Notsurugi!" The naginata glows and runes appear on its surface as the force crushing Id increases yet again by another factor of 10.

Miki notes the increased weight and moves back, "Punch, Gloves." The kkatana shifts into a pair of gloves on Miki's hands as she charges forward to punch Ego as many times as she can (force of punches amplified by a factor of 10 from before for recipient).

Mayumi: "I see, so then, what was all this fighting about and who are you all?"

[Zaleramancer]

"Ah, you see, we are the mental constructs made to serve in advisory capacity to one of the Reality Bending people that you often find wandering around. One Zale. Perhaps you've met?"

Id gives a plaintive squeak as he is compressed to a orb the size of a marble.

"Normally, he would never force us to fight, or do anything else for that matter, but at the present he is being usurped by an invasive and infectious force from another multi-verse continuity. Hence the fighting."  

Ego is sent flying as one of the gloves connects.

"Of course, because we are connected to him, the force sent us out, hoping that we would drain off some of our energy in pointless fighting, and therefore make it easier for it to take over."
