New Beginning 17: Souls of Intellect

The Bleach Guardian raises his blade, "Infinite Release" and charges at Lightning Troll.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Lightning Troll raises his Soulsword (It's in the form of a naginata) and holds it in an anti-cavalry stance ready to skewer the guardian.

[Philote]

The Guardian activates his swords first release, causing his blade to grow in length. With the extended sword, he rotates and swings his weapon towards his opponent's naginata.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Lightning Troll swings his naginata around and touches the butt of the pole to his opponent's blade. The Released state effect activates sending several thousand volts of electricity down towards his opponent.

[Philote]

The Guardian is hit by the lightning, but he doesn't slow down his assault. He activates his swords second release, and a metallic eye opens up in the center of his blade. When the release is complete, it seems like the Guardian is slightly faster and stronger than he was a moment ago.

Lightning Troll grins and starts to make a flurry of attacks.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

As the Miscreant Guardian changes his weapon, I change mine. Sarabi's blade becomes wider and begins to shift like smoke. When it finishes warping it seems to be insubstantial and etheral.

Meanwhile the Six Guardians form up to intercept Zauber.

[Philote]

@Dryad: The Guardian's blade shifts again into a third state, continually evolving. This time the end of the blade, past the metallic eye, becomes darker, and every thing it strikes seems to be struck at multiple spots, instead of just at the point of contact.

@Marv: The Guardian's blade seems ineffective against the ghostly blade, but with an application of Miscreant energy, it makes contact.

Zauber combines the Fire and Shield motes in his hands towards the first Guardsmen, placing a fiery cage around him.

As Lightning Troll is struck with the blade, he grins and strikes back giving as much as he is taking. He doesn't bother with his wounds and as everyone watches his wounds close back up right as new ones appear.

[Philote]

The Guardian appears to be tough, shrugging off attacks without any lasting harm, yet even though he grows in strength and speed with each transformation, he does not appear to be healing.

The next transformation is subtle, until it's sneak attack is released. Blocking one of Lighting Troll's attacks with his blade, he points his blades eye towards his foe. The eye opens and a flurry of metal darts is released.

[Zaleramancer]

Zale the monstrosity flails around, banging the skeletal monster around.

As the two titans flail around, Shadow's suited minions surround the Potion Summoner.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Lightning Troll grins as the darts strike a barrier in between him and the guardian and says, "Might be time to release now. Release, Lightning's Fury!"

His Soulsword changes by gaining ornate designs on its shaft. Lightning Troll then hits the ground with his Soulsword and lightning rains down to strike all of his enemies within 100 metres.

Lightning Troll yells, "Eat lightning fool!"

[Philote]

The Potion Summoner releases the Unstable Concoction. The grenade like explosion of decaying ice knocks the Potion Summoner back, and at the same moment, the giant undead seems to falter and weaken.

[Philote]

The lighting stream stuns the Guardian and he has to evolve a defense against it. A metallic eye forms as a shield above him, deflecting the lighting coming from above. With the lighting diverted, the Guardian continues forward with a flurry of blows, releasing metal darts with each swing.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Lightning Troll grins. It was time to use 20% of his full physical strength. He swung sideways with enough strength to cleave a mountain thus releasing a wave of air to cut his opponent in half.

[Philote]

The Guardian receives a cut to the chest from the blow, from which liquid metal pours, forming a pool at his feet. From the pool, more metallic eyes float into the sky around him, and the wound continues to pour.

With the new transformation, he his stronger and faster again. Dashing forward, he swings his sword, while the metallic eyes add a metallic wave to the blow.

[Zaleramancer]

The force of the explosion throws back most of Shadow's minions. Shadow herself barely manages to remain in place by jamming her scythe down.

Then the Zale-Monster vanishes suddenly, seemingly into thin air.

My shadow begin cursing in ancient Babylonian.  With a final strident word, she shouts something.

"I NEED SOME HELP DOWN HERE!"

Then, without bothering to wait for a response, she leaps towards the fallen Potion Summoner.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Lightning Troll forms a barrier of magnetism around himself to stop the wave from hitting him and mutters, "Should've known this could happen. That guy's zanpaku-to is more like an advanced version of a Soulsword than a zanpaku-to with the number of releases it's done."

Lightning Troll waits to see what his opponent's next move will be while summoning in oxygen every now and then to replenish his supply and shoving out the carbon dioxide with magic.

The other students watch the fight and put up a multilayered barrier to stop the metal wave from hitting them. One of them asks, "Ah, Miss um... Yamata? When is the rest of the army supposed to come?"

Mina replies, "The next one to come should be Pannychis Leto. The army is more of coming in spurts and waves than one big group since we all live in different nations."

Rho hears what Yamata Mina said and mutters, "Great. Why was my sister sent here?"

Kuroko responds in a whisper, "It's not any worse than Mina-onee-chan being here."

Rho replies, "You're -"

Mina interjects, "What did you two just say?"

Kuroko and Rho look at each other and say, "Run."

They run around the barrier with Mina chasing them as everyone else looks on and chuckles.
