If you just wanted a review, why did you ask what bothered me about it?
Gah. Here's the review you deserve to get. All in all, I thought it was exceptional. It was descriptive without being to wordy and was very graphic- if a bit gruesome at times. I like the way you don't over use dialogue when telling the story. The writing itself was great! No grammar mistakes or spelling errors and you managed to avoid sounding clunky or repetitious. It sort of flows nicely. The only negatives I can see is that some of the characters were rather flat- but that's probably because of the shortness of it. I'd give it a 9/10.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

Why do I get the feeling Shadowulf is making a long and scary post now?

Maybe a creeping dread, apprehension and paranoia from knowing that, in a perfect world, you totally DESERVE it...

It doesn't really matter.

Oh, stop putting off your own bad feelings on me. I've had enough of it. If anyone should be having this little pity party, it's me. I've come under attack by YOU and that DUNCEBAG EverblaDE about three times now, and every time I still end up apologizing right along with the people who are actually WRONG.
YOU were the one who initiated a full-on anti-religion tirade when I asked for a simple critique/comment on my freakin' story, letting your own personal bias against Christianity taint what could have been a very simple "I didn't like it" or "I didn't care for it". So I came back at you with valid counterpoints, and made sure it sounded just as angry as you sounded toward me, so you could have a taste of your own medicine. And yet, because it's my own personal BELIEFS and ME PERSONALLY that you attacked, I may have come across a little angrier than you. In fact, a LOT angrier. As ridiculous or ludicrous as you may find it, the beliefs I hold are very deeply rooted in my heart, and held in the highest esteem. So don't be shocked when I actually took offense at what you said, and found it hard to forgive you (what did you EXPECT to hear when you directly attacked everything that I stand for?). Get over it. I certainly have. You have every right to be here that anybody else has, but like I've said in the past, when you take the mere MENTION of Christianity as a cue to start vomiting forth your bitterness toward God, I won't stand for it, because Christianity is not some long-disproved myth-cult of old; people still practice it, including myself (despite how murky the details may be to YOU). So there, that's that, and I have nothing more to say on the issue. If you want to act like somehow I'm trying to force you off the site, or attack you for no reason, that's fine with me, because I know that is not the case. I already realized that you apologized (at Philote's inclination) and I had really forgiven you before Phi had even contributed his attempt to quell the argument. I just was a bit sore, and knew that my words would be spiteful if I said anything beyond a few things at a time, and so I made sure to speak to you as little as possible, which is why I said I would only speak to you via email (which obviously didn't hold very well), so I could speak more freely, and without worrying about others seeing the rather personal depths of my feelings (which again, obviously didn't hold very well...). Anyways, I have better things to do than repair the feelings of someone who intended ME harm in the first place. You do what you like. This is just the little disclaimer to all those outside looking it; your leaving was neither my intention, nor my wish, nor something that I wish had been my doing. If you leave, it's ALL YOU.

Please no Zale. You were one of the first here. Going off this site permanentley wont help us and while I cant speak for you I doubt that in the long run It will be that fun for you either. I know that you and shadowulf butt heads from time to time but really. However much one of you will say it maybe you both made a few mistakes. You said it annoyed you and shadowulf asked a little too much for a response . I know both of you are entitled to your opinion but could you please just calm down and back off. Im not trying to force you two to do anything but I want you to consider just relaxing and looking at the situation without your own opinions for a little bit. I know I cant stop you but please dont go just because your fed up with it.

Check my game thread...

That's a nice idea, but embedding the games in the posts... The links would have been enough.

Well, I just figured the thread would be more productive (or at least more aesthetic) if it were more than just links. BTW, just learned what the heck they meant by embedding, so I thought I'd give it a try.
And besides, we want them to come HERE to play the games, right?

The problem is, when you open a page, all the music and sounds play at the same time.
