And if my deduction is correct, this one's red hot!!!! It may have happened during the last 24 hours and have involved more than two powers!!

@WHD: Please try to remember really hard since I suspect you're the prime actor/witness of this one. If anyone else feels they were involved, please speak up. It can definitely help us solve this one and probably have a better understanding of what can cause power swapping!

I suspect it's not and that you meant it for Balance Gem (the original power, according to Google Cache).

Secondly, since Balance Gem turns out to be missing from the site, it means that someone edited it. Question is, was it you? If so, do you remember what name you gave it? The easy solution would be for us to find who originally created Trait Sliding with Google Cache. It turns out it's Tyreaus. But it's not that easy, check this out:

Do you notice the tags are different? Now, I don't see why anyone would edit the tags in this very case, so my hypothesis is: whoever edited Balance Gem gave it a new name, but that name isn't "Delete this hm". "Delete this hm" is another power which swapped with the power which originally was Balance Gem. So what is the new name given to Balance Gem?

Thirdly, since "Delete this hm" wasn't originally Balance Gem, it means someone else or the same person edited another power (other than Balance Gem and Trait Sliding) and gave the name "Delete this hm". So,... which power was it originally and who created it?!

Fourthly, I compared the two versions of Trait Sliding, the one on the main site (which now belongs to Amalgamer) and the one shown by Google Cache (which belonged to Tyreaus, supposedly the real creator):


See any difference? I sure didn't, so unless it's well hidden, there aren't any. And that brings the question: why was it swapped? We inferred that powers are swapped when they are edited at the same time. So, did anyone edit it? Did anyone open the edit page of Trait Sliding but didn't change anything? Did anyone resubmit it without making any change (is that even possible)? If not, it means that any power can be swapped with another one even if one of them isn't being edited!!!

To summarize my hypothesis:
- Someone edited Amalgamer's Balance Gem into Mystery power #1;
- Mystery power #1 swapped with Tyreaus's Trait Sliding;
- Someone edited Mystery power #2 into Delete this hm;
- Delete this hm swapped with Mystery power #1.
It's even possible that more swapping was involved, maybe involving innocent powers!

Anyone else has a better explanation or did I just kill myself for the last hour and a half to write a pointless message?

What would be interesting to know is how this one came to be, so we don't repeat the same mistake. I think WHD was the one who edited Balance Gem and I suspect he was the one who edited the power now renamed Delete this hm. That could mean that power swapping could be caused by a single person editing two powers. But, was it at the same time? Did he edit one and resubmit it, then the other? Did he edit a second one, while the first one was being reviewed? Maybe the system lagged because of too many consecutive editing and everything was shifted? (we had the same issue when people, mainly firehouse, complained about a power not showing up on their profile page or their comment not showing up on the homepage, which eventually happened after a long while (was it before or after the migration?)) And what did Trait Sliding have to do with this?

I know, but the cached version is dated to April 17th, 2012. It's too recent. The swap could have occured before that date, we can't be sure.

The creator, the date of the power's creation and the people who acquired it remain the same, everything else is swapped (power name, overview, description, pros, cons, tags).
