 My mom did that some years back with roaches. I mean, she just plain out got ratchet with the duck tape, and stickified every hidden crack and crevice. Nary a roach returned since.
And when we moved, fortunately, we had none to start with, so there's no pest problem. I mean, the occasional one or two, but they are dealt with rather swiftly.

Nearly every car on the streets has it's windows shattered. Lot's of houses are suffering roof leaks or broken skylights. Some rivers have overflowed. It's a goddamn mess outside.
