One of my friend decided it'd be funny to bite my neck and leave a mark.

Going home, my mom saw it an drew a few conclusions and asked if I'd been seeing a girl.

I sputtered out no and mentioned my male friend being a moron, but I'm sure that raised flags.

I also ended up coming out to someone online when I didn't intend to because of the flustering caused by that.

Now I'm sitting here terrified of my mom starting to get suspicious regarding my sexuality. I have no idea what her views on homosexuality really even are. Or that she'll think I'm in a relationship with my friend. (Not Happening).

I hope she doesn't find out before you're ready to come clean for yourself.

And, more importantly, I hope you do eventually come clean for yourself.

I mean, if you require a suggestion on something clever to assuage the potential 'anti-gay rage', then just come out as a liberal first. Then, after she recovers, you can tell her you were just kidding, and that you're really conservative, only homosexual.

Sure you'll still be lying to her for the time being, but once she gets used to the concept that you're homosexual, then you can come out as actually being a liberal, too. I think that'll weigh more heavily on her than anything.

Yeah, that's actually pretty likely, to be honest. And then she'll have to console you, while you freak out.

Considering she gave me a talk about how I should be careful not to get a girl pregnant a few months ago, I think that's unlikely.

Well, it it's common to know, but not common at all to suggest it. In fact, it's quite possible she was giving you the opening to tell her right then and there.

I mean, my mom still insinuates, and sometimes even outright asks if I'm gay, as though hoping to hear me say I'm not (and I'm still not, even after the n-thousandth time). That sort of thing, though, I doubt is very common for other parents to do.

Give your mom some credit. Even if she isn't accepting of other people being homosexual, it doesn't mean she wouldn't still love and accept you for who you are. A lot of conservatives are hokey like that.

My family has suspected me of being homosexual since I've never been in a relationship. It was also joked about due to my hands (I will likely upload a picture to my Facebook at some point) being described as 'feminine" to an extent. I, too, have had to tell them otherwise multiple times.

I agree with Wulf that you may be surprised at how accepting your family is.
