Considering my knack for creativity, inspiration and dedication to matters of philosophy and the supernatural, I doubt I'm at any great disadvantage. I could still hold my own in the event of New Beginning.

Not to mention, some folks (cough cough Wonder_Drow cough cough) used underhanded technological mechanisms to get an undeserved upper hand. Not only did it result in unfair power gains (gaining powers without actually going through the trouble of searching the site for them), but it basically cuts time drastically before the site reaches Over Quota.
Anywho, Zaleramancer, it's good to be back, for however long.

I certainly wish you well on your endeavor. It takes a certain kind of person to succeed in that sort of thing, and I for one am not the type. Couldn't see myself in the midst of combat (I'm a quasi-pacifist), or even on reserve (since I would be on call for something I don't even care for--confrontation), so for your future service, I certainly commend you.

In the first New Beginning, I thought we took reign of at least PART of Earth. Then again, that was shortly before Spydyr left, close to three years ago now. And I'm pretty sure things would have changed on Earth by then, or, um since then (time is always hard to remember in New Beginning terms...). As of now, I'm not sure what NB Reality Bender would even want rule of Earth, with all the numerous other exotic lands we have to visit and explore and conquer and rule.
We'll all have undoubtedly visited more lands than any of us care to count, so after a little stint on Earth, basically having a few last laughs, we'll likely part, and leave the world basically as it is. We'll probably change stuff on Earth like we did in New Beginning, and then leave the world to the care of either one of us (a competent, capable and responsible Reality Bender) or use our powers to place good normals in power, to help establish something of a utopia. Of course, the world won't be perfect--that NEVER works out in places other than Heaven, Shangri-La, the actual Utopia and the like. We'd just tweak it so that politics is more honest, empathetic and effective. But that way, the military would only be needed to defend Earth against extraterrestrial. It'd be a comprehensive World Military, rather than divided factions warring against one another like brutes. Don'tcha think that way would be a lot more effective? You might even move up in the military ranks to a supreme position, by then, WHD, if you still have military inclinations. But in all, yeah, I think the military would still be relevant, even in the event of New Beginning. As it should be.

Well, technically, I meant that the military was irrelevant to us.
If I, for example, got attacked by the US military in NB, they wouldn't stand a chance. I would have access to far too many options and I cannot feasibly be harmed.
Bow before your unimaginably powerful overlord!
Wait a minute, I'm currently too busy holding a cork in mid air for petty groveling. Well, yeah, you got a point there...

Direct Dictatorship is so inefficient.
Economic Control and Memetic Engineering is much better. I can bully most of the world just by threatening to stop allowing them to purchase my services. Or, to be more precise, the services of my employees. Portal Networks become very valuable when people get used to using them. :D Not to mention Healing, Scrying, Warding, Etc.. I'm a kind Autocrat, at least.

Well, in my defense, any power imposition on our part would only be to set decent people in power, and to make sure they stay true to the integrity of the offices they hold. For example, I have a lot of ideas that would classify me as a Liberal and either a Democrat or a Libertarian, but I wouldn't get rid of Conservatives, or remove them from power by force.
I would only help set up efficient institutions for letting the people make their own decisions. Like I've said before, and will continue to say in the future, I have absolutely, positively no interest in ruling outside of Celadon and Celadon's adjoining territories.

Help police forces catch criminals. Especially criminals that leave few traces. Pick up on things the police can't detect with the senses or regular investigation. Oh, and get rid of the terrorists. Maybe sentence them to life on some barren, icy prison-planet.
That's among some of the crap I would do.

Welcome back Bug, try not to disappear for so long again this time
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

That's why you don't go that big.
Leave some interesting stuff still out there to be dealt with later.

Prototype 2 Zip
Finished up my second prototype today and here is the link. It would be great if people could take a look. I could not get the randomization feature to work correctly, so it plays out the exact same way each time unfortunately.

Is anyone else having that problem?

No, it seems to work just fine.
It's a bit hard though and you have to play and fail miserably the first couple of times to get it. Only played two times. |
