Dice offer a bit of variance. Otherwise a powerful being would be consistently unbeatable.

It would be pointless to kill her only knock her out if that's possible. She is after all the one who keeps the Undines from truly going nuts outside of fights.

Wait, what modifiers are we using? Could you post the combat rules?

So far, it appears to be rolling a ten-sided die, and adding various modifiers..
According to Divine Rank (+4 Overgod, +3 Major God, +2 Minor God, +1 Demi-God) If you are on what can be considered your "Home Turf", Such as the ocean for Waverider or Hazet's palace. (+2) For Divine Artifacts with offensive abilities (+3) So Coral would have a modifier of +5 (+2 Minor God, +3 Pearl Sword) While the Watchman would have +4 ( +4 Overgod) For the total modifier for allied teams in a battle, Take the highest mod and add half of each successive entity to it. Entities other than Gods and Heroes with Divine Artifacts don't get a roll. Whatever happens to them is determined by the player.

Oh, and you can use Smite to add +2.
Does anyone have objections to these rules?

No, They seem good to me.
Now, is "home turf" areas that you control, or can it be metaphorical things like "Standing in the defense of the innocent?"

What would the Yasakani-no-Magatama's effect be on this system as it can create a barrier that absorbs 2 motes worth of energy three times per day? And same with the Kara-no-Magatama which absorbs energy? Or the Mugen-no-Magatama which provides energy?
Not including those Mina (+7), the Watchman (+4) and Kagehana (+3) total up for a modifier of +10.5.

If I allow that, people may just use it to justify having an extra +2 anywhere.
It's less lands you control than places that ring loudly in your memory, or places where you would feel powerful. Lands you control are usually this. Or places where you fought victoriously, created a race of people, preformed a particularly fantastic miracle, or a place where you would be liked. Like, for you, the Free Cities would count. Or where you freed the Giants.

Round down.
I suppose it's to late to wave the no teleportation clause in people's faces. Well, Divine Combat does not consume motes. If It did, then Heroes wouldn't be able to contribute at all. I suppose it can reduce the effective power of a modifer by two.

Well, she Didn't' really telaport. The race she made with the ability to travail through shadows did so to bring her forces to bare.

This sure has spiraled downhill, who would of thought I would of caused all this
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

Alrighty!
We have a battle between Coral (+3 Mod) and the Team of Mina (And heroes) and the Watchman! (Total Mod +10) This should be horrific. Rolling.... Rolling.... And we have Coral (9) and the Team (12) So you guys win. Big surprise. So how would you like to narrate this?

Does it allow you to move instantaneously from one point to another without passing through the intervening distance?

So then the Yasakani-no-Magatama would reduce Coral down to +5 with the Void Magatama reducing her down to +3? And what would the Mugen-no-Magatama's effect on Divine Combat be as it provides energy for use?
In essence it would end up with Coral having +3 vs. our collective +10?
