@Vault:  Iconomancy seems pretty neat. Should be interesting to see more done with it, but due to its nature, doesn't it limit most that practice it to simply creating statues of the different Spirits for maximum effect?

I agree, iconomancy is pretty cool. I'm eager to learn more. And on the subject of learning, I wish to learn more of mana batteries...first question. ...what are they?

Mana Batteries are not anything physical. It is just the term that refers to the multiple storages of mana that Eternites have.

The thing is, you don't have to be a god to be an Icon.

Just like Pitching gains it's strength from personal interpenetration, Iconomancy takes it from Group interpenetration. The hard part is getting a mass of people to all agree on the same effect something should have. Icons are things that are people that are instantly recognizable and mean something to most of the world.

Fore example, use Iconamancy on a picture of Elvis Presley, and you'd get music 100% of the time across a wide area.

So potentially, if you had enough influence over the general populace, you could create specific effects for use in Iconomancy. Say if you were a Mayor or some such.

Yes, but to have is work properly you'd need to make yourself into a household name, a name that was immediately linked in the minds of the population with what you wanted to happen.

I have another fun little thing called Spectropomancy where, because the city was divinely built,you can ask it questions and it will lead you to the answers via observing your surroundings or the city itself will lead you to where it wants you to go in times of crisis. It's all a load of Horizon Society pseudo-magic hogwash, of course. Something those idiots use to bilk tourists. The city having a will, it's nonsense.....

On another subject, I've briefly  touched on this on previous posts and plan to work this in to future Stohlen storylines.

Stohlen's Rules of the Ravencloaks

These are a set of rules, never written down but refereed to constantly by Stohlen in situations in which they apply. The are the rules set forth by Stohlen for the members of the ravencloaks. Of course, every member knows them by heart, but Stohlen repeats them anyways. They are as follows.

1) If you’re caught, you’re on your own.
2) Nobody leaves the Ravencloaks
3) There is no wrong way to steal something so long as you get away
4) Everyone is expendable
5) No loose ends

There are others, but these are the main five.
