This is why exposition is important.

Now, let's see how far this poorly thought out plan will go.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

The implication I was going for is thar Minerelle really pissed someone off, enough that she was hobbled and expelled.

As for Gills it really depends on if that battery is put there at creation or if it's an effect of Well exposure. The difference would be between all of Gils races having it as part of their design OR anyone who lives on the island long enough developes one. I like the second one better because, while it excludes Gills from having them implicitly, it opens up the possibility of Marv's dudes developing them. Also if fits Eternus's reputation for the land itself to make those living on it stronger.

@Zale: Did I not exposite enough?

@Vault: Sounds Good

The Second one it is.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Knowledge about your races is scarce.

I try. What parts need to be expanded on?

When I posted the D&D picture that they were based on I thought that that would be understood but I can see how it was not clear. I have a hard time translating my ideas from my brain with enough detail apparently. I expect people to get the same metal pictures that I get when I describe something but it does not really work that way

For reference, this is the reference I was going off of for the average Shardmind.

Well, if they're made from magical Corundum, then a variety of different colours are available.

Re: Lords of Creation 16 (OOC)

So, what that was was a natural evolution of Pitching: Iconomancy. They don't have that large of an effect. That particular icon was huge. But it's a way to get consistent results from Pitching: use icons everyone is familiar with, and the effect will be roughly consistent. Waverider, to use an example, is an icon of the ocean. If you make an icon of her all angry, you'll get something that hurts someone with water. You make one of her calm, it would have a different effect.

If anyone wants to run from the flash flood that's roaring through entertainment at the moment, feel free. It shouldn't stick around long, just long enough to get everything wet.

The image in my mind makes me laugh. People comically being swept away by water in a cartoonish fashion.
