Also, for Murozond, I had planned to create the Djinn race (The one I called dibs on however long ago), but I'm not sure it would be best to introduce a whole new race at this point while I still have the others to manage.

So whats the comparison between the abilities of a mortal and an Avatar that does not have the main power of the Spirit within it at the moment?

Well, unless the Avatar has some power invested within by the spirit, then they'll be mostly mortal.

They'll have whatever abilities they were made with, in a similar manner to races.

Gill culture is based around emptiness and places a large value on self-actualization.

See, I got to thinking: every other race in the world was created with a purpose in mind for them. Gill's were not. Gill's were a random byproduct of divine power going crazy. Where every other race has that original design of what their god wanted them to be somewhere in their soul, Gills have a big empty spot. That they can feel. They know it's there, and they fight it. They take things from other cultures that they've been exposed to and they combine them into something new. They literally built their culture by hacking together parts of different ones. If you see a Gill copying you, you're supposed to take it as a huge compliment. And they do copy people, and they aren't fully aware they're doing it.

Gills have an extended childhood. They are not considered adults until they find something that they can value in life and work towards. Whatever it is they find, they throw into it everything they have. It's almost obsessive. If they don't find something to do with their life and time, they "fall into the hole." This is a Gill becoming overcome by apathy, unwilling to eat or take care of itself, until it wastes away.
