Even if they went for it, trusting this new god that just so happens to show up on the eve of giant crab attack, they would talk and tell Cothal about this neato god who just so happened to show up on the eve of giant crab attack.
Even if they're that stupid, he's probably not.

Well, let me see...is it Mar, Dash and Tel who are all in the same place? And Po and (the other one) are elsewhere?

@Wulf: All five of us are in the same place, in the forest area of the island across from the mainland.
@Vault: You're smart, you could make it work. You could show up later so that it is not so much of a coincidence. You could show up to the cave guy and offer to "Help" him, stating that we are your mortal enemies and that you want to work against us.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

@Phi:
@GV: Phi's right. It's totally doable to bluff the heck out of a bunch of deities in mythology. A minor goddess, Ate, is said to have been the reason behind every one of Zeus' infidelities, and Phthonos' behind every one of Hera's retributions to those infidelities. All it takes is a subtle word, some inconspicuous flattery, and an innocent-enough demeanor. If Mar goes for the humble Smeagle routine, she can pull it off, no problem.

U:| I'm terrible at this, aren't I.
The village is on the main-land. In front of the forest, south of the hilly area.

Mar's thinking like Mar, and Mar would never trust a coincidence that convenient. So she's sure he won't.

Yeah, I know where we started off. On the shore. But I mean our location in relation to where we started.
Oh, hey, are we on that black-circled island?

Very I got the idea by modifying a Plague game where you have to exterminate (Or in this case mind control) the world.
For RP reasons though, fully grown Neurax Fireflies would be extremely rare. Most would just be infected and pass on the infection.

That's what I assumed.
We aren't? When did we move?

I think we're still there. Only I didn't notice the black circle over that place before, due to my wonky screen. So, naturally, I assumed we were on the big island. Ugh, I hate being lost in Rps, but it seems to happen so easy, except if I stay on continually to post.

But I never moved. Everything I did was on the assumption that Mar was on the small island.
Who moved?

We are still on the same island I believe, only our creations went across the water. The only movement we did was either into a plane or deeper into the forest of the same island we started on.

That's cool. My plans for attack, support and defense aren't really affected, whether we're on the big island or the small one. It's fine, really. My bad.
And speaking of plans, I'm workin' on my Veelas right now.

Oh, I see. The location of the village is what I got wrong.
We can see it across the ocean, I get it now. Well, that was 4 motes wasted. I'm an idiot.
