"Not really." Star says, paying no attention to the fact that he was now bouncing up and down. "Is anyone going to take the necklace? No? I guess I'll have it then." He says quickly, putting on the last piece of loot. Picking up the remaining two hats he speedwalks over to the rooms exits. "So which way do we go? This way? That way? Oh, doesn't matter."
Saying this he tosses the jesters hat and the beanie as far down one of the halls as he can.

"Wow. Someone's certainly feeling their oats this morning."
/to Star Platinum/ "You look like you're feeling better than you ought, considering our recent battle. I think your newfound gear suits you better than I orignially surmised." "I must confess... I feel like a load has been taken from me. I get the notion that I could outrun the wind itself." /Praosk tentatively executes some basic martial arts stances, kicks, and jumps, analyzing the delta between pre and post boot adornment/ "Yes. The boots, I think."

Willow looks back down the steam hallway.
"It seems that no more looters are following behind us. If any more are sent into this maze they will have hard path to follow to catch up to us. We should proceed on with haste as well and potentially find any who entered before our arrival." Following Star over to the path of his choosing, Willow waits to see if any trap would be activated by the items tossed out.

The hats flop almost comically as they arc through the air, landing with a muffled slap several yards down the passage, just in front of a large bend that obscures the rest of the path.
It seems there are no traps in this passageway. At least none that can be triggered by a pair of hats. As the group draws near, the faint sound of running water can be heard echoing down the passage. Name Goes Here can smell something flowery.

While they wait, Star turns to Praosk. "We never learned your name. What's your name?"

"Agreed. Haste is the word of import at the moment."
/Praosk immediately follows, lock-step behind willow, peering over his shoulder/ "We should proceed down the hallway, anon. Do your perceive any immediate peril?"

"My apologies, Star Platinum, for my being socially obtuse. I am known as Praosk, Fist of Bahamut, and I am ever at your service. Please just call me Praosk."

"Star, would you be willing to check the hall for any traps that may have been missed? You are the most defended of us" Willow asks "Or maybe our new friend, Praosk, could find the traps with his new speed?"

"I'll have a go"
/this is the point where I usually make a Spot and/or Listen check in other gaming systems. would it suffice to say that I am looking for anything that might seem out of place - intentionally obscured dirt/rocks, different patches of color or texture on the walls, floors, and ceiling, perhaps a barely noticeable draft emanating from what seems to be a solid wall. I'm also looking for hand/foot holds in the walls to gauge the possbility of scaling them/ Praosk daintily tiptoes down the hall, his head on a swivel, with the occasional glance forward to see if he can perceive the hall, one meter at a time, ready and poised to spring if a sudden motion is triggered.

The walls of the passageway are smooth and worn. As Praosk inches down them, he sees not indications of traps or hidden things. He does however begin to feel a refreshing draft of air the further he travels. Almost magically, the hot damp air of the Slime's cave is replaced by a cooler, refreshing atmosphere that smells faintly of water and flowers.
The sound of running water grows louder. Soon Praosk and Star emerge from the winding passage into a room that seems impossible. Emerald moss grows on every stone, punctuated with vibrant flowers. The dark stone of the passage is replaced by white marble and smooth ash colored stone. In the corners of the room are small waterfalls that glitter and shine as their crystal clear waters flow. Upon closer inspection the water is actually flowing upwards into the ceiling where it collects in a pool defying gravity. In the center of the pool, upside down hangs a large smooth stone into which, two daggers and a sword are wedged.

"All goes well I see" Willow calls after the two looters.
Letting them gain a good lead, Willow enters into the tunnel and follows behind their path. Entering into the next room, he says "Never would see something like this in the forest. Though I suppose that the weapons must be guarded by another trap of some sort."

/Praosk yells to the others who have yet to make it into the cooler room/
"Come, friends. A more hospitable climate awaits, along with a riddle to solve." /Praosk makes his way slowly toward the nearest waterfall corner and takes a closer look/

The water is crystal clear and flows from cracks and holes in the rock. There seems to be no reason for it's strange trajectory.

"Fascinating. I've never seen such a clever contraption. Water flowing upward! This can't be mere mortal craft at play here. It must be motivated by that magic-thingy my Sifu warned me about. Regardless, we should all take heed in any water or food offered. I wonder if the emerald moss might provide a sufficient repast for those who need sustenance. "
/Praosk, warily, thrusts his index finger into the water to sample (olifactorily, before tasting a mere drop on his tongue) its cool benefits/ "Tell me, friend Star Platinum, does the book you tote mention such waters?" /as he's waiting on a reply, Praosk eyes the walls for suitable hand/footholds that might allow him access to the stone that houses the twin daggers and the sword/

There is no mention in the Manual of rising waters that matches this scenario.

The water is cool and refreshing, but does not seem to have any odd effects. It does faintly smell of flowers.
There are no hand or footholds but Praosk can see a rectangular stone plate partially obscured by the running water the crystal water. There appear to be words engraved on it, but they are difficult to make out.

/Praosk takes a deep pull from the waters present, in hopes to refresh himself from the previous conflict, then eyes the rectangular stone/
"We should make an attempt to decipher the writings on that stone". /Praosk nods his head in the direction of the writted stone/. /Praosk attempts to move himself in a better position to make out the markings/ (whatever that means... climbing, walking, leaping) "By the way, the waters here seem to denote hints of flowers, if I'm not mistaken. Does someone present possess uncanny olfactory prowess that might cofirm or refute my claim?"

Star helps by striping off his armor and wedging it in the path of the waterrise so that it's not flowing directly over the stone plate.
