For pent-up aggression, I write. That's all I do, aside from violent outbursts and hateful ranting. I'm giving up on violent outbursts, and hateful ranting kinda doesn't work on the internet (especially not when you want to resolve an issue rationally and rightfully).

Oh, yeah, I know you didn't mean it that way. I just thought you should see how it sounded in my head when I first read your comment.

That way seems that's much more effective than going off on a long, drawn-out rant. Certainly saves me headache.

I do things. Like when my parents have me cut the grass or do the dishes, I hum. Somehow, since a young age, I've had a small repertoire of tunes stuck in my head, of my own making. Can't carry a tune for crap, but it's kinda fun to hear myself go off-key. I also recite random verses that come to mind, from poetry I remember (or make up). And when nobody's home, I think of past arguments I've gotten into, that felt unresolved, and I argue them out to their conclusion, until I've gotten tired of arguing with the air.

Dude, your american, by now you should no that if you have any African in your blood stream, your pretty much black, hell back in the days before civil rights a 1/16 mullato was arrested for attempting to ride in the whites train

I can call myself biracial, and mullato until the ears of every person in the world bleeds but I'm still pretty much black.

(wasn't the bus, it was the train, before cars were invented, its late.)

 Yes, but for some reason, I figured you weren't enough Black to be mistaken for Black on the street. See, now I'm curious again about what you look like. Some folks fit the stereotype of what African-American looks like. My cousin Torin Blumhagen, another Biracial fellow, does not. I (non-Biracial) do. Do you?

I'm not saying this to insult you.

You do get angry over perceived slights.

Really, really angry.

Then make very long posts detailing why you're angry.

All the while failing to see that no one intended to slight you.

I generally don't try to make you angry (I go to lengths to avoid this.)

I don't have any sort of grudge against you. You are one of my closest friends, why would I?

However, I will admit that I often assume the worst interpretation of things you post at times, because I've recently been thinking you are irritated about something, and hostility was leaking into things.

I could be wrong, but that's the interpretation I gleaned.

Yes, it's true, when I get angry, I get very angry. I take personal slights very much to heart, and I'm quite defensive. To be honest, I'm not sure if my defensiveness results from taking personal slights to heart, or if it's vice versa.

Still, though, I do realize that that's something I need to work on. And for that, I do apologize. In retrospect, when my anger dies down to a simmer, and is only barely tangible in my chest, my intention is never to attack you, only to convey my point.

And in doing that, many times I get so entangled in feeling wrongly portrayed, that my response does come off more as an attack than a defense. Though, I don't generally have anything against you, either. I consider you a good friend, too. And I'm not generally irritated at you or anyone else for anything. If it comes off that way, it's likely due to something in my actual life getting on my nerves, which gives edge even to my writing voice.

I've been known to write some of my best stuff when I'm angry, even if I'm not writing about what I'm angry about.

Anyhow, I want to make it entirely clear. I consider you a friend, a good one, and while I can be vindictive at times, most of the time, it's my brain picking up a false alarm on the offense-o-meter. Most every time I get into an argument, it's due, at least in part, to misunderstanding on my part, both here and in real life. I apologize for any future foolishness that turns up like this in the future.

For the longest, I thought it was a blank white face with a shwanky Fonzi type hairdo. Only recently (like less than a year ago) did I look up close enough to see that it was a black and white mask (and that your skin color is clearly delineated on your neck and hands)...
