We have no choice, being living things. ALL living things take and contribute to the world. Whether it is good or bad, some contribution is always made when something is taken.

Yes but what you contribute is really important. As man we are creatures capable of making large impacts on the nature of this world, if we contribute something we must do our best to make sure that it is beneficial to existence instead of detrimental, but due to the ability to have different perspectives someone's good is almost always seen as a bad by someone else.

So if we just gave all that up, the planet would be so much better. But if we did, we'd never have books, TV, the internet, cars, clothes, food, or anything else that we use in daily life. Except houses. But we wouldn't have the primitive versions of houses, which were made from animal skin and bones and plant matter. Thus our ancestors would have died and we never would have gotten where we are.

So there. Society messes up the environment, but without it, you wouldn't even be able to communicate your criticism of human nature to me. Get over it. Necessary evils, Jester. Necessary evils.
