Figure I may as well as rant, too...

Or, rather, post one of my past rants.

Uhhh! I lost again! I can't wait until this gets onto a new page.

Anyway, I know which power I'd have, even though it is cheating (assuming it works).

I'd probably pick something that allowed you to use your power in many ways. I'd rather have weather control, and use it to fly, than just have flight.

Here's a little something we should all have a look at, especially those who live in the US. May be US legislation, but it affects all internet users, including those such as myself.

Worst of all, this very site could be affected by it.

What does everyone think about this?

I think we should do it, since we're really just fixing something our ancestors screwed up (something I think we should strive to achieve; at least when it is an environmental problem).

Interesting..

But most people are against just human cloning. Cloning a long dead human sub-species would not be met with enthusiasm.

Though, I wonder what an Neanderthal would be like.

Well:
-Same language capabilities, similar cognitive abilities, similar social needs.
-They would have barrel-shaped chests, flatter skulls and shorter arms and legs.
-They couldn't run as far, but they could tackle a Homo sapiens without much trouble (good football/soccer players?).
-They should be genetically compatible with us.
-They'd have an immunity to AIDS, smallpox, polio and leprosy (lucky jerks) as they are uniquely Homo sapiens diseases (except leprosy, which also affects armadillos).

So, they'd be similar enough to be met with less racism than dark-skinned people were in previous times. Says something about humanity, doesn't it?

Why must people inflict their horrid writing on others?!

I mean, honestly. Some people just can't write to save their lives, and still the fill tons and tons of fanfiction sites with their awfully misspelled, grammatically murdered, incomprehensibly formatted junk!

At least use the freaking spellcheck!

And they try to inset witty wordplay into a mass of eye-bleedingly blocky text.. PARAGRAPHS! USE THEM!

Oh and don't even mention the stupid ways they shoehorn the poor characters into their devious designs. Oh and <character name> really had a secret crush on <other character name> the whole time, and now he/she is acting on it!

And Mpreg. I will straight up stab the next person I see who slaps that into a fanfiction with the explanation of "Oh, he's a werewolf/alien/etc in the book/show and that sometimes happens." NONONONO! That doesn't make sense. Biologically or in any other way, shape or form!

That was cathartic.

Agreed!

Some can write good stories, I must admit, but they spoil it by lacking punctuation, spelling, grammar or paragraphs.

I have a very poor long term memory. There's so many things that I don't recall distinctly from my childhood.

Even with various pictures and school stuff..

Still. I've been looking at some of my old school stuff to see if there's anything I can put on a college application.. It's nice to read all the glowing reports from my old teachers..

I was a very good student when I was little. Very extroverted. Slightly problems articulating words, but I was reading for.. like.. ever..

I still can't say specific.

I think the reason is that I tend to devote the whole of my attention to one thing. I can't multitask. So when I was little, I knew of nothing to devote my attention to besides school-work. I never had below a B.

Then, of course, the wonders of teenage-dom appeared. I was self-conscious for the first time in my life. I also found things to enjoy outside of school work. Books, Friends, and eventually the internet- and this forum.

My typing was slow, and my spelling erratic- but I like to think I at least had enthusiasm. I have enjoyed- and still enjoy the internet, particularly this part of it.

The people are awesome, and actually share some of my interests. Since it's anonymous, I can be more open and honest than my self-consciousness normal allows. I know that sometimes I'm lazy and othertime's I'm abrasive, but you guys still put up with me.

And sometimes I'm not really honest with you. So let me introduce myself, with near total honesty.

Hello. I am Dalton Andrew Parker, or Zaleramancer (Shorten it to Zale, for my sakes and yours).

I like.. people. And hate people.

I love talking to people, getting to know people. I love making people happy- seeing them laugh. I try to understand other people. I'm not always successful.

At the same time, I have when people are.. close-minded, cruel or selfish. I hate when people let things cloud their judgement. When they casually disregard things for no more reason than they choose to not think..

Of course, I'm self-conscious and rather dishonest- in a way. I fold under pressure, and misrepresent myself.  I pretend to be whatever I think will make other people like me more. I don't let people know about me, or how I feel about somethings..

The main reason stems from religious issues. Thorny, Thorny religious issues. You see.. I can't believe I'm finally doing thing..

I was a christian.. and gay.

Still am on the second one.

Which, as you can imagine, didn't end well. I was extremely unhappy, as I continued to blame myself or deny that.. I tried to distance myself emotionally from others. I was afraid that someone would find out, then everyone would.. It was my fear that everyone would ostracize me. I would be alone.

I doubted I could survive that..

Eventually, the internal turmoil made me dread every Sunday. Every day at church was awfully emotional painful. I still can hardly go without remembering what it felt like. So eventually.. I.. stopped.

I stopped attending church, stopped praying.. I was no longer a christian..

And I had never felt happier.

After that.. Well, for awhile, I just enjoyed living without a crippling feeling of guilt and self-loathing.

I was still extremely self-conscious, and still had that secret, but, I was happier. Eventually, I argued with Wulf on religion, and you guys found out about the agnosticism.

My senior year, this one, isn't exactly wonderful. The advanced math classes, and inpending graduation have me rather stressed and rather lacking in self-esteem.

Then, today, I started looking at my awards and school stuff from forever ago.. and I felt.. happy. I was really smart then, and am now. I feel like I can manage again.

One thing in particular was something one of my teachers wrote on a report card.

Keep your dreams alive!

So, I decided, for whatever reason, to open up to you guys. Be almost totally honest about everything- consequences be damned. You're my friends.

Thanks for reading.
