Um, WWI I could see, even maybe zombies, but how would you work in FAIRIES?

Fairies are the most terrifying things that have ever existed. They were basically the medieval equivalent of grey aliens.
Also, Cell freaked me right out as a kid.

Fairies can be scary, yes, sure. If narrated properly.
But fairies at sea? Well, it certainly is interesting. I'll keep it in mind. Oh! And I had another idea, also, for another story. It would be a strange tale of isolation and darkness and mystery and monsters. Post-apocalyptic, in some sense. And plain-out scary, if I can put my thoughts into words. None of you would be able to guess the end, I'm sure of it.

Elves are wonderful. They provoke wonder.
Elves are marvelous. They cause marvels. Elves are fantastic. They create fantasies. Elves are glamorous. They project glamour. Elves are enchanting. They weave enchantment. Elves are terrific. They beget terror. The thing about words is that meanings can twist just like a snake, and if you want to find snakes, look behind words that have changed their meaning. No one ever said elves are nice. Elves are bad. — Terry Pratchett, Lords and Ladies

Rakshas swimming in the sea, stealing away mortals on a whim.
Beware the Fair Folk. They Sing. Their songs steal your soul away.

Neither.

Explain.
Oh, and I just had an idea for another story. Or even an element that can be included in this seafaring tale. It involves an island. And the occult. And a very familiar monster.

Raksha.
They live on the border-chaos on the edge of the world. Since each direction is aligned with a different element, each direction has different kinds. The Fair Folk of the West are aligned with the sea. They tend to adopt forms that swim, and are rather lazy. Most prefer to buy slaves from traders to devour their emotions, rather than actually go out and find some themselves.

But if we don't go with your idea, I think my idea might be cool, too. Or, we could even combine the two somehow.

Oh, and I have an idea about gravedigging that goes horribly wrong.

So, does anybody else have any ideas that they would like to contribute to a new or existing horror story?
I, myself, have written down a few ideas I think you guys might get a kick out of.

Now we're cooking with gas!
But how would other characters come into play for such a story?
