I think I kinda get the concept, but it'd be kinda hard to narrate, don't you think? Or confusing at most. How exactly would you know what the chessmaster expects? He might even expect your attempt at erratic behavior...

Well, even in that, he wouldn't know how to anticipate any of our moves, nor would we be EVER able anticipate his (other than being in the general direction of OP). No one here is truly a chessmaster (though a few of us come close), and so being chaotic would serve no true purpose, other than maybe PREVENTING somebody from becoming a chessmaster.

@Shadow: To see what would happen. At the higher levels I could fuse together hundreds of thousands of souls into a massive one after aligning them to be chaotic, THEN put it in a weapon and give it to Jester.

@Zale: In that case I either act chaotic to the point where things cannot be predicted, OR, I too act as a chess master until we foil each other so much that neither of us can get an edge.

Make it gloves instead of a sword and I might consider it. and it's not entirely at random, to trope a chessmaster as you've said, you still have to have a good idea of the game. The trick is to throw them off their own rythnm by forcing them to follow your own, during which you drive them insane. I'd have to admit I'd be the best at it, illusions, teleportation, phasing, telepathy at higher levels.

Actually it's a good strategy in case we ever go up against a mastermind.

Actually, it's not even a strategy by definition...

It's a Misnomer, A better discription would be Controlled Chaos, or directioned Randomness, by implementing several strategies and interchanging them at a moments notice, continually changing your own rythm, you'll eventually cause your opponenet to oose patience and open up a weekpoint, at which point you strike.
